~Reverie of Madness and Opportunity of Revenge~

By CarbonTiger414 (Caleb Ledbetter)

Giegue's ship launches past the stratosphere from it's departure point on Mt. Itoi's summit, the alien at the bridge pounds the computer panel angrily with his thin white fists, “Those kids and that song. I hate them..! I HATE THEM!!” Again Giegue hits the panel once more, huffing to himself at his failure. Suddenly, a beep sounds from the screen, indicating an incoming transmission. With a deep breath to quickly calm himself, the alien reaches over to press a button, and another one of his race appears on screen,

“Lord Giegue, our sensors show your ship leaving Earth. Were you not successful in conquering the planet?”

“NO!..I mean..No, lord Cyforth. There were..complications,” Giegue couldn't bear to describe his failure to his kin, and quickly decides to elude it, “but rest assured, I will succeed next time when I am better prepared.”

Cyforth on screen tilts his thin white head slightly to the side, “Hmm. Very well then. What of the lost human who stole our technology and abilities?”

“He has left the mortal coil decades ago, and my subordinates have found no trace of the stolen technology or our PSI abilities.”

It seems Cyforth's head grows large against the screen from leaning in toward the video camera, and the little alien narrows his eyes, “Are you certain of this, lord Giegue?”

“Absolutely,” Giegue responds firmly, though knowing it was more or less a lie, he dares not to do so during this report, “ I've made that a top priority for a long time, and nothing was discovered. All except word of the human's madness taking him unto his last days of life.”

“Alright. Though despite the aforementioned complications, you are under a limit of time to eliminate the human race by any means deemed neccesary. Our research show of a great power lingering within Earth's core, and with the absence of mankind, we can utilize this fabled power of a great dragon to help complete our conquering reign of the universe. This power must be uncovered and captured. Cyforth out.”

After the video feed cuts off and the transmission ends, Giegue slams a fist hard against the panel, “Graah! How am I supposed to figure out how to do that with the limited resources I have?!” Closing his eyes, he ends up lost in thought while his spaceship subtly moves within Earth's orbit. A long moment later, his thoughts end up to the image of the three children holding hands and singing the abomination of the song up to him. Giegue grumbles to himself before raising a clenched fist to his forehead hard and exclaims to himself, “Ahh, stop it! I hate that Maria..And those kids..And that song...” His thoughts now slip into his own darkness, reminding him of a failure, but only fuels his determination of his word to Cyforth that he will succeed somehow, someway. Even while his ship still sails the space within Earth's orbit until...

“X” years later...

The 'Hint guy', as he's infamously known throughout Eagle Land, a humble and rather wise man for one who's blind. Practically a fortune teller in the most obscure and indirect sense these days, he often travels anually to offer various forms of advice. Only recently has Hint Guy comes across something fortunate enough to receive such a foretelling of epic proportions.

A lone young boy from the Polestar preschool opts to visit him one day, and offers an apple from kindness and generousity within his young heart. Hint Guy obliges with dear thanks before biting into the apple. “I most appreciate it. Long have I offered hints and wisdom to others for enough money to get by on, but I have never--..”

Hint Guy pauses for a long moment, as within his sight beyond sight shows at first a terrible formless tyrant of madness ruling the world as he knows it to be. And just before he feels a terrible moment of dread from this vision, a light seemingly blankets the darkness, and forms into four figures of young statures, but brave children who wield enough courage to confront this tyrant.

“Um..Mister hint person,” the young boy in red with black overalls inquires innocently, “Is the apple not good..?”

The vision soon fades upon hearing the child's words, and with a hearty laugh, Hint Guy replies, “It is very good. Enlightening, even..But yes, you should run along back to Polestar now, as the ache in my bones feel it will rain shortly. Thank you again for this apple, and tell the other children that all will be well in the coming years.”

“Okay mister hint man! You're welcome, and bye!”

The little boy smiles before dashing out of the door. Upon hearing the door close, Hint Guy takes another bite of the apple, whispering to himself, “So..Apparently there was a war..Now this usurper wishes to strike again, and soon..” A soothing tingle runs down Hint Guy's spinal column before he bites into the apple once more, continuing quietly to himself, “These..Chosen Four. If they indeed are this light to quell the darkness, then I should help them in any way that I can.”

199X..

Porky Minch has gone through a lot to make it to where he is now since leaving Onett. Soon after crashing the Monotoli helicopter, the dastardly sniveling kid happened to make his way into Winters where he has heard of two brilliant minds meeting with one another to craft something that would be of great use to him. After hanging up the phone, Apple Kid kneels before Porky, who is threatened by an odd weapon pointed at the young mechanic, “Alright, phone's off..W-What do you want with me..?”

After shaking the gun in his hand, Porky retorts in a stern manner, “I know you and Andonuts are making something about a Phase Distorter! I bugged Ness' phone and heard all of it! I want you to make something unbelievably awesome for me, as soon as possible! And I want it to be scary, like a spider! And have it travel through time, not just space, got it?!”

“Um...O-Okay..”

“Good!” Porky waves the gun to have him leave Andonut's lab, escorting Apple Kid with a smiirk, “And while you're at it, considering you don't don the nickname for nothing, tell me everything you know about this 'Apple of Enlightenment'.”

Apple Kid sighs deeply, knowing he hardly has a choice, “Alright, alright. Just don't shoot me, please. That gun looks terribly mean. But, maybe could I ask for some money..? Or even a hamburger?” Porky simply pokes Apple Kid's back with the end of the gun in response, “Okay, never mind! It was worth a try.”

Some time later, Porky discovers the origin of the prophecy as well as the tyrant and supposed heroes just before Apple Kid completes the dreaded Heavily Armed Spider Mech. Upon boarding the mech, Porky warps back in time to a place of rumored crash site within a cave just off of the main contenient of Eagle Land. Sealed within the mech, Porky remains physically unscathed for the time being, though gradually feels a bit older either from twisted knowledge or from the gradual subtle drawbacks of time travel. Knowing for sure that Ness and his friends will traverse down this cave according to the prediction of the Apple, Porky crosses through a mysterious path within the cave, until coming to the other end and notices a swirling red mist, engraved with a warped face of sadness and insanity.

“Ninten,...Ninten,...Ninten,...Ninten,...Ninten,...” The formless mass of madness howls before thrashing at Porky's mech with an attack that Porky could not grasp it's true form, yet it barely phases the armored mech.

“Ahhh! Hey now,” Porky blows a raspberry at Giygas, “I'm not this 'Ninten' person, or whatever. I'm Porky Minch, your new master now! And if you wouldn't mind, just focus your attention on one named Ness, alright? N-E-S-S, got it? No? Well T-O-O B-A-D!” After smirking at the corner of his mouth, the glass dome encasing the young obese kid opens completely for a moment so he can throw an odd spherical projectile like a grenade toward Giygas, shouting, “This should keep you focused!” Once the ball enters the epicenter of Giygas' massless form, a gas sprays outward from all sides instantly and acts as a prison, encasing the alien's pure madness into an abomination of a creature.

“Arrgh! Yaagh! It hurts, Ness..! Go back!.....I feel g...o...o...d...I'm h...a...p...p...y...friends...” The grotesque monster grunts out just as it the exoskeleton completes the imprisonment of Giygas, and becomes part of it. Porky smirks once more, knowing it would work while he whispers to himself

“Yes. That's it..! I knew this Devil's Machine would accomplish the failure of the Apple's prophecy. Just wait until I turn it off, then those kids will really crap their pants, and be helpless, Ha ha..!” Porky clears his throat and shouts up to Giygas, “Alright! Now, it won't be long until Ness and his pathetic friends show up, we will crush them!” The glass dome covers Porky within the Spider Mech just before it phases out from time and space, at least until they arrive not long afterwards.

Once the monster Giygas can see four figures across the way, watching them clank toward them from a moderate distance despite his poor vision. After seeing an all too familiar red cap with a blue bill, nothing else is needed to fuel it's rage. Just when they come close enough, and just before Ness' face appears at the front of the monstrosity, Giygas within releases all of his hatred built from years of delving far too long into hatred and loathing. Completely lost in it's own madness, all Giygas knows is that it cannot fail this time, and is determined to achieve it's revenge on Love itself, and everything that is connected to it.....
