Christmas is that time of year When you can just smell good cheer In the air Annual Gift Man makes his rounds So does Santa in each town To be fair And so we deck our halls with Boughs of holly, and don't forget the mistletoe And, of course, there is the tree We hang up all our stockings And put out milk and cookies All in hope there will be presents aplenty But beyond the flash and show Therein lies a whole lot more To the time Generous is every heart, And the talents weave their art To the chime And love can blossom alongside The joy as we gather 'round with All those around us whom we hold dear And as the snow coats the ground with a blanket of purity, it brings A blank slate's promise with the new year
