Have you ever been playing EarthBound and suddenly you feel like your party is drastically lacking in levels? I was in that situation sometime over Thanksgiving break, which due to a lack of computer I took up playing EarthBound with a passion. I managed to preety much breeze through half the game in the course of two days, from Magnet Hill to the Cave of the Past. However, the real point of this story centers around the Lost Underworld. Upon reaching Tenda Village II, I decided to take a look at my parties level, only to find that Ness (as the highest-leveled party member) only at level 50! Now, I'm sure many of you at this point are probably saying, "What the heck, Falc!? Level 50!? What's so special about that?" Well you see, my general philosophy is the classic concept of overkill. I like to levelup my party members to ridiculous levels before facing a certain leg of the journey. So, it was off to Lumine Hall for me! It's amazing how Fobbies can suddenly become your favorite enemy in the entire game. Well, after about an hour or so of attacking poor frightened unsuspecting Fobbies (Umi will have my head :/) I had gained about 24 levels each for my party. Overkill wins once again! After that and a few multi bottle rockets to the head, Carbon/Diamond dog was little more than a minor discomfort. But the best was yet to come, for when I called dad.... "Ness? This is your dad. "I deposited $223,934 in your bank account."
