If you don't know your particular enemy's whereabouts, use your browser's Find function (usually ctrl+f) to search for them. - There are two different kinds of Runaway Dogs in the game. The kind in Winters is more likely to drop Bread Rolls. - There are two kinds of Struttin' Evil Mushrooms: the red ones in Winters, and the yellow ones near Milky Well. - In my experience, the item you have a chance to get after a battle is determined by which enemy you start the battle with. So if the text is "The Starman and its cohort attacked!" then you're lined up for a Brain Food Lunch. This is very important when you're trying to get a much better item, such as the Sword of Kings. Of course, I have no definitive proof to back this up, just my years of experience... - The only regular enemies that don't give items are the Criminal Caterpillar, the Master Criminal Worm, and the Maurader Octobot. The only boss who gives an item is Captain Strong. - The Cute Li'l UFO and Beautiful UFO can give out multiple items: Cute Li'l UFO Beautiful UFO Cookie Can of fruit juice Bag of fries Royal iced tea Hamburger Protein drink Boiled egg Kraken soup Fresh Egg Bottle of water Picnic lunch Cold remedy Pizza Vial of serum I have no idea what the frequency or chance of getting any or all of these items are, but suffice to say it'd be fun to go for it. Ancient forum lore has it that they drop something about one in every eight to sixteen battles. - If you print this list out, you can use it as a checklist for a "get every single item" game or something. - The easiest way to get those pesky 1/128 items is to figure out a way to get a green swirl on the enemy, whether by sneaking up after a teleport (Starman Supers), by beating the Sanctuary boss (Uncontrollable Spheres), or simply by being way more powerful (Mad Taxis) while Ness has the Casey Bat equipped. See, with green swirls, the game calculates the chance of an instant win with just your Attack power, not your weapon's chance of missing. - And while we're on the subject of arcane EB knowledge, go talk to the old lady outside of the Twoson Dept. Store with all four party members, but get Paula knocked out first. You'll get a secret message. (It's not really item-related; I'm just that awesome.
