A Boogie Tent in Love Written by Heavily Armored Hamster --- Alone day after day In the center of town Stands the Boogie Tent Surrounded by people Yet so hopelessly alone Never to be loved for it is feared, Never to win a girl's heart For she is terrified of him Where do they get these ideas!? All the Boogie Tent wants is love... Consumer of souls, harbinger of death Evil tentified, doomsday advancer Killer of humans, Zombie Fiend Inanimate object gone bad, bloodthirsty No, no, no... None of it's true! The Boogie Tent has been alone Since the day it first stood And with every passing of the sun A shadow falls on but one figure And never two Although the Boogie Tent Is a gentle, gentle soul Years of lonely confinement Have given him a rough edge And he can seem rather bitter- But then one fateful night When the moon was living The street filled with children Children in costumes of demons Something unusual happened One lonely girl All dressed in black Kicking at the ground And cursing at the children Happened to walk bye The Boogie Tent was irate For years of solitude Had hardened his speech When the girl appeared, The Boogie Tent screeched: "Imma gonna get you; Your days are over Imma gonna get you; You're not going to live Imma gonna get you; Can't get away from me" The girl snorted Her expression unchanged She shrugged a little Didn't even flinch She looked up at the tent and asked: "Is somebody behind That tent with a mic? This is truly pathetic! How could you dare scare me? I do not wish to play Such childish games!" The Boogie tent was stunned How could she not be terrified Of his blood-freezing speech? How insulting! Certainly, he must try again! With a shake of his flaps, He leaped up to his feet! Quickly two arms sprouted And his tent-hat fell from the sky He began to dance about His arms were flailing, His teeth were gnashing, His feet were kicking, And all the while, he was shouting: "Boogaboogaboogaboogaboogabooga!" The girl sighed, Gave a shake of her head And she folded her arms She was not frightened- In fact, she looked bored The boogie Tent's anger rose! It began to steam, then boil Suddenly, his anger spilled out It was an eruption, like a volcano The tent let loose a shrill scream Then he grow a thousand feet tall And his tent like cloth burst into flames As he was screaming his arms were flapping Widening the inferno even farther! Truly, he was drenched in The color of hell and the color of death! He put his weight to one side, And with one mighty kick Knocked the moon from the sky His hollering continuing, He let loose missiles From holes not seen before Where there was once Onett Twoson, and Fourside There were not but craters And radioactive waste The ground gave way beneath the girl Except for one little pillar on which she stood The flames shot up around her Caging her, encircling her Then, in the distance rose The Boogie Tent Shadowed by the light of the flames, Only his eyes were clear With a slow, mournful voice That echoed to the heavens And reeked of the underworld He began to speak! "Your life, your very soul- It will be extinguished! You will know non-existence! You will understand the absolute abolishment of consciousness! Prepare yourself- Your life ends here!" There was silence. The girl did not seem disturbed In fact, she seemed almost insulted! Her face twitched As did a vein on her temple She looked ready to scream! It was about to come out, and then... Her face relaxed She giggled She blushed She looked up to the Boogie Tent And said, simply: "You're cute!" The demonic demeanor Of the Boogie Tent Began to fade Replaced, instead With one happy smile The flames began to fade, The pillar of earth Rejoined with the ground The destruction stopped abruptly And then there was just the Boogie Tent And the girl; together, Laughing The two hopped into a car And sped off to look out hill Sitting in the back of the car Drenched in moonlight And reflections of stars Two lovers sat talking Then, the Boogie Tent paused His expression grew quite serious From his depths he pulled out a simple box And handed it to the girl She took it curiously, Looking down on it Not knowing what it was She opened it slowly- And saw a glittering sound stone Tied to a beautiful golden ring "Girl, will you marry me?" The Boogie Tent asked Just as softly as can be The girl laughed And the Boogie Tent Cried The girl said "Yes" And the Boogie Tent smiled It was a loud smile And it disturbed the peace Of the tranquil night Echoing to the moon (Which was still knocked down In a crater outside of Threed- A perfect place for scientific study!) That Halloween Was twenty year ago tonight The Boogie Tent and the girl Sit at thier porch smiling, Hand in hand in their little swing Reflecting on that magical night They look on as their children- Vera, Chuck, And Dave Play about in the front yard Racing each other on bicycles Vera was half tent and half human, Chuck half human and half tent And well, Dave was a bicycle The Boogie Tent and the girl Celebrate Halloween very seriously For to them, it is an anniversary Sure, to some, Halloween is a night For mischief and begging and pranks, Or maybe a night of terror and fear, Or maybe even nothing at all But to this couple, it's so much more For twenty years ago tonight, On the very edge of Halloween- Something magical happened When one little love was forged And three major cities destroyed
