Lights danced around Gustav's face as he fell, and it seemed to never end. His life flashed before him as he neared his end at the bottom of the cliff and soon began to accept his fate. There was nothing he could do to stop himself, no edges to grab a hold of, and nothing to come back to. He deduced that the Skylight Point might have collapsed over the years and he was about to find the remains of this strange spot in way he had never imagined.
"It is easy to give up, isn't it?" Gustav jerked suddenly to find the source of the voice and saw a grown man talking to him, who seemed to be falling with him. The man had short, black hair and was wearing long jeans and a striped shirt. "You believe this is the best you can do don't you?" Gustav looked away. "Of course you do. And why should you believe an unconscious girl in a hospital? That strange voice probably wasn't even hers, and Skylight Point might not have even existed at all." Gustav began to believe the man, but something deep in Gustav's heart kept him from feeling despair. "You still don't give in. Let me tell you something. The thing that holds you back from despair is the courage and resolve I gave you. Your mother gave you the power you are trying to unlock now." Gustav stared at the man with wide eyes. "Of course I am your father." The man stared blankly at the rushing ground below and began to slow down. "Concentrate on your goals, wishes and promises! Only then can you reach Skylight Point." With that, the man spun around rapidly and vanished.
Gustav was shocked when the strange man turned out to be his dad, who he had never seen before, but he was even more surprised that he needed power from within to actually reach Skylight Point. Gustav tried to call it out but nothing happened. As the ground below him became more distinct, he thought of Lou who was fighting for his life in hopes that Gustav would return with the new power to use against the rock monster. Gustav remembered the sad image of Everdred who wished that those who caused his demise would be brought to justice. Paula came next into his mind, lying still and quiet but full of strong will that allowed her to call out to those nearby. He then thought of the three others he was supposed to find; Ness, Jeff, and Poo. His mother and father knew he was capable of getting through this mess.
"I will bring so much sorrow in my end…" Gustav muttered. "But great problems await me if I can survive. Forget giving up! I will fight to my last breath and longer!" Gustav concentrated as hard as he could and suddenly came across a strange phrase. He yelled it at the top of his lungs.
"PSI Teleport Alpha!" Gustav expected to be sent back up to the cliff he fell from, but instead he began to fall faster. He flung his arms around and he lost control of his legs. His legs began to run in the air as he fell to the shattered ground. As the ground rushed up to him he wondered what exactly he did wrong, but then he decided to meet his end with his head held high.
Just a few seconds before Gustav was to hit the ground, a large green circle appeared in front of him and he flew right into it. Darkness surrounded him as he entered the green circle, and then he discovered was running on invisible but sold ground. He was in a dark tunnel that was leading to another green circle a distance away, and he could see the battle between Lou and the rock monster raging. Gustav burst through the other green circle and drew out his bat when he touched ground. The monster was about to throw Lou of the cliff when Gustav landed, so it tossed the unconscious Lou aside and faced Gustav. The rock monster began to roll on the ground and shot forward, knocking Gustav into a wall. Gustav attacked with his bat but the rock monster simply grabbed it and crushed it in its hand.
Gustav tried unsuccessfully to dodge the other attacks of the monster and racked his brain for any kind of attack. The only thing that came to find was his PSI Teleport. Then Gustav noticed that the green circle was still floating in the air, but it was slowly closing. Gustav staggered in front of the circle and taunted at the rock monster, making it even angrier. It rolled at him, Gustav jumped, and the monster was caught in the teleport circle. It tried to reach at Gustav but the circle closed around the monster's arm and promptly cut it off.
Gustav fell to his knees with exhaustion and picked up the shattered remains of his Oak bat. He tossed his defeated weapon aside and crawled over to Lou. Lou was hurt badly, but he had enough strength to walk. As Gustav looked around he saw a rock staircase he didn't see before that led upward. He and Lou staggered over and climbed it slowly. After a few hours they reached the top and found themselves on top of the giant hill. They rested for a few minutes and then headed up to the highest point on the hill. It had become night and the stars were out in all their glory.
"I never thought *cough* that I would live through that *wheeze*. Thanks for saving my life, Gustav." Lou barely managed to speak because of his sore jaw but he was able to endure the pain. As Gustav looked up at the night sky he saw a tiny glimmer of color appearing. As the two watched, a giant carpet of rainbow spread out and shimmered like water. Both of them were mesmerized from the light and didn't notice someone walking up to them. Gustav was tapped on the shoulder by a large hand he turned around quickly to see his father standing behind him. His father was smiling proudly and was presenting a red baseball cap to Gustav. When Gustav touched it with his hand he felt energy flowing through his fingertips and up his arms. Next came knowledge of new techniques like PSI Rockin and PSI Healing.
"Welcome to Skylight Point son. I'll take you and your friend to the hotel." With a flash of light all three were at the entrance to the hotel, but Lou had already fallen asleep. "I have business elsewhere, Gustav. Good night." Gustav shed a tear as his father turned on his heel and faded into the night. Gustav carried Lou into the hotel and helped him into bed. Gustav looked out the window and stared at the stars for a moment before getting into bed and finally falling asleep.
