The Chronicles of Ness
Part I
The Doors of Eagleland

Ness had explained his adventure to his mom nine times now. She still wanted more. Little did Ness know she would be getting a lot more.

Then one night Ness was asleep. A loud knock rang across the door. Then his door opened and the light flickered on. There was Tracy. "What an annoying knock!" she complained. "Open the door!"

Ness opened the door slowly and peered outside. No one was there. He looked around and finally saw yellow hair in a nearby tree. He crept along. "Pokey, I have you now!"

"NESS!" a voice rang out. It was Paula in the tree. "What are you doing with that bat? Oh, did Jeff tell you yet?"

    "What?"

"Jeff built this new device with his dad. It was a machine that could teleport things anywhere in less then a second. It was to be used for good reasons but."

    "What happened?"

"The machine backfired and sucked Jeff in. Poo tried to go after him and they both disappeared. We have to go after them!"

So the two teleported across Onett to Winters. The lab was empty except for a mouse and a strange looking machine.

The mouse ran up to Ness. " I have been studying the time-space continuum and I discovered where the two guys went! The machine warped them to a point where all points of time and space meet in a parallel area!"

The confused duo climbed into the machine.

"This is their only hope! You'll be teleported in five, four, three, two, one and now!"

The room faded away. In its place was a room. It was the same size and shape as the lab but had black and white tiles and many doors on every side of the wall.

"What are the doors?" Paula asked.

She opened one door. She saw Onett, shrouded in darkness and filled with evil. The rest of the doors required keys.

    "You guys!"

Ness and Paula whirled around and saw Jeff.

    "I have been studying and-"

    "Where's Poo?" Paula snapped.

"Listen to me!" Jeff exclaimed. "The doors lead to each city and place after Giygas took over! To free Poo and stop Giygas forever we have to take back Eagleland!"

"So what's in the first door?"

    "Onett's future!"

So the three jumped into Onett. They landed outside Ness' house.

    "MOM!"

    There was no answer.

    "MOM?"

    There was no answer.

Ness slowly opened the door. The lights were broken and the sofa was torn in half and the stuffing flowed out onto the floor. King was sleeping, or was he? Jeff looked again at the dog and said sadly, "He's dead."

The table was snapped in many pieces and the bookcase was empty. Pages and books were all over the floor.

The trio climbed up the stairs and into Tracy's room. It was as trashed as the others. Now into Ness' room.

The room was empty. On the walls were posters of starmen and one of Giygas. In the place of Ness' bed was.

    " POKEY?"

The chubby boy stood up and laughed. "You fools lost! Giygas took your family away along with some puny 'Pew' or something. I moved in and here you shall stay! Har Har Har!"

The four humans started to fight but before anyone could swing a fist the posters of starmen glowed. The pictured men poured out in the hundreds. They all formed ranks and files and prepared to fight.

"Uh, Ness?" Paula asked. "What now?"

    "One word. RUN!" Ness screamed.

Suddenly the door behind Ness opened. It was Tracy. Her eyes glowed red and she had a smirk on her face.

    "TRACY!" Ness yelled relieved.

" Your scrawny sister is gone. I, the mighty Giygas have taken her place! She is yet a puppet!" the body of Tracy explained with a sneer.
