" Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness Ness, Ness, Ness Ness, Ness, Ness Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness ..............................................................................................................................................................................................I feel... happy."

Flash, it was over the dream ended as quickly as it had begun and Ness was now soaked in sweat. The dream wasn't a stranger to Ness's mind. It was of the last few moments of his battle with Giygas before he dematerialized. Ness checked the clock and saw that it was nearly four. That meant two hours until his spring break was over... bummer.

Ness stumbled down the hall toward the kitchen to get some water. Ness grabbed a glass and filled it with ice then he turned on the faucet. Ness thought about the words, tried to shut them out, but failed. He knew that Giygas was happy about something but what?

FLASH. There was the sound of breaking glass then a large thud and then nothing. Deep, dark, blackness going on forever. Then a hazy image came into being, first, lines and circles, then a large construct. Ness realized what he was looking at. The Devil's Machine. A small reddened figured rolled into view from the broken glass bubble. It looked like giygas but was way to small. The thing gasped and stood on what looked like legs. It stood there for a full minute. Suddenly it looked straight into Ness's face, boring into his soul and eating his heart. Suddenly there was a searing pain in Ness's right hand. --FLASH--

Ness realized that he was laying in a cold puddle of water and ice. He was holding his right hand which was bleeding quite profusely. He saw the source of the problem in the dim light of the now rising sun. A shard of glass was stuck in his hand. He tried to pull it out but a fresh wave of pain shot through him. A tear rolled down his cheek and he stood up. He went for the bathroom and began to work on his hand.--

--Blackness, darkness, nothingness, emptiness. Whatever you want to call it, there was still nothing. Greyon opened his eyes and there was still nothing. He closed them and he saw the boy for a split second then nothing again. He went through every thought he had in his head. Images of the human boy flashed in his head like strobes causing his head to hurt. He cleared his mind and tried again. This time he tried to hold on to the image of the boy. Greyon's thought then fell upon his "father". He did not know his name nor did he care. The only thing that mattered to him was that the boy killed his father. He had called him... Ness.

Now Greyon had a purpose, he must find the boy, Ness, and kill him. Greyon tried with all of his might to turn around. He open his eyes and slowly rolled over. A light! Greyon could see the small light at the end of a long walk way. This seemed to be an impossible task for Greyon. He willed himself up and began to slowly move forward. He finally got up some momentum when his foot fell into something and he fell headlong into the hole. Something filled him and his eyes became wet. It was more that pain, more that anger, more than the hatred he felt toward Ness. It seemed to be a mixture of the three. But there was something else there. Was it.. no it couldn't be. He was incapable of feeling emotions such as that. It was the human emotion of heavy loss. One that came when a loved one died. But how could he feel loss when he could not feel love. At first his hate was driven by the fact that Ness left him stranded here but now there was a more powerful cause behind it. The loss of his father.--

--"Well Ness, your lucky in a sense. You barely missed a vein that could have caused the loss of your hand. But you aren’t lucky enough to have stitches. The cut needs to heal inside out or you could catch an air bubble...Ness?"

Ness suddenly realized that he was drifting.

"Oh sorry, Doc"

"No worries. Well in short you aren't getting stitches because it may cause loss of an arm."

"Okay Doc"

"Keep that cut clean and Change that bandage every four hours."

"Right, Doc."

Ness's mom broke into the conversation.

"Well come on Ness, you’ve missed half of your school today."

Ness got up absent mindedly and walked out of the room while his mom and the doctor had words. He was stuck on the vision. The thing, it resembled Giygas but as Ness looked at it he felt something Giygas didn’t exude, PSI. The thing had psychic powers, no doubt. Ness was 16 now and he had lost his own powers soon after the final battle. He'd guessed it was because he hadn't trained for a long time. Whatever the thing was Ness definitely felt threatened by it.--

--Before Ness realized it he was in school. The day dragged on forever. Onett High wasn't the best place in the world but Ness had to go, for Mom if any one else. Ness missed two of his classes and luckily had no homework. Finally the day was over and Ness was feeling exhausted. Ness was walking home when he heard Picky's breathless cry.

"Ness, Ness, wait! I've been looking for you all day where were you today."

"I was at the hospital for half the day, Pickey." Ness held up his hand and showed Pickey the reddened bandage.

"Wow! What happened?"

"Don't worry about it."

"Uh... Okay, well I wanted you to see this, got it this mornin." Pickey handed Ness a wadded up piece of paper. He unfolded it and read it silently. When he finished he sighed and looked at Pickey.

" Do you think that Pokey is really gonna come back now and try something. Come on Pickey! It's been nearly five years and we get a letter every month. Each time he promises to whomp me very soon. You Know- I- ERR! POKEY IS SUCH AN IDIOT!!!" Ness sighed and walked away crumpling the paper up and tossing it behind him. He felt kinda sorry for blowing up on the little freshman, But what could he do. Pokey this, Pokey that. Every day. Ness was tired of the nonsense. But then Ness thought about the vision. What if Pokey was hanging out with the thing in the past at The Devil's Machine. Ness shivered. That was a thought Ness didn't want in his head.--

--Greyon finally made it out of the blackness and into the bright white. He felt uncomfortable here. It was so bright that at first he did not see the lifeless metal blocks in front of him. He stumbled over to one of them. He studied it. It had something red on the top of it. It seemed to resemble one of the robots Greyon had seen before his father had died. Greyon slapped it with a stray tentacle. It was solid. This would be perfect. Greyon placed the same tentacle on the robot and thought deeply. Slowly, Greyon's body changed and molded and melted into the robot. Greyon stood up and started to walk down path and toward the rest of the abyss. Greyon was one step closer to revenge.--END
