Nestled in southern Winters is the lab of Jeff Andonuts. He inherited the property after the tragic death of Dr. Andonuts the previous year. Shortly after the events which have just been relayed, Jeff was working in his lab. Even though no one was there, he heard a voice. This did not startle him, because he quickly recognized the voice as Paula's.

"Jeff...Are you there Jeff?...This is Paula...Jeff!...I'm trapped...You are my only hope...Please come...This is Paula...Please come to..."

The voice died out before the message was complete.

"Paula's in trouble somewhere. But where? She could be anywhere. I guess I'll head to Twoson first." Jeff walked over to a shiny black orb - The Sky Runner II. He also grabbed his newest invention, the Gaia Laser. Soon, he was floating above Eagleland.

The Sky Runner II did not crash land like the previous model. It made a graceful touchdown in Burglin Park. Jeff got out and headed to Everdred's house. He was going to ask Everdred if he could leave the Sky Runner II with him, but he was in for a surprise when he entered the house. An apparition was floating around the room. It was the ghost of Everdred!

The ghost sank to the ground. Jeff leaned over him. "Everdred?" Jeff queried.

"What happened to you?" Jeff asked.

"You mean how did I become a ghost? Carpainter saw me trying to steal his car, so he thwomped me. Anyway, I don't know why I fought you. The last time I had the impulse to fight was because Giygas had control over my mind. But, he's dead now right?"

Jeff answered slowly, "He...was. I gotta go look for Paula, but I'll be back."

"Good luck." said Everdred as he watched Jeff leave.

Jeff went to the Bus Depot. Perhaps Paula is in Fourside again, he thought to himself. He bought his ticket and headed for The Big Banana. It was a long , hot ride, but he finally arrived. "Monotoli would know something if anyone would." He went to the tall skyscraper labeled "Monotoli". After taking the private elevator up to Monotoli's room, he saw the bodygaurds huddled on the floor. Although his vision was impaired, Jeff picked out Monotoli squirming around in the center of the pile. "Hey!" Jeff yelled. The bodygaurds quickly looked at the door. Jeff was stunned. The bodyguards' eyes were red, and they had fangs protruding from their mouths. Suddenly, they charged toward Jeff.

As the bodyguards melted away, Jeff made his way over to Monotoli who was still face down on the floor. Jeff put a hand on his shoulder. "Monotoli?" The mayor's head contorted around. Although his body was still on his stomach, his head was now face up. Jeff noticed two teeth marks on his neck. Monotoli's eyes were red, and he too had fangs.

Monotoli's eyes turned back to their normal white. However, with little health(14 HP) and the poison now taking its course on his body, Jeff collapsed to the floor. When Monotoli completely regained his senses, he saw Jeff unconscious on the floor. "Oh my gosh! I better get him to the hospital!"

"Are you back with us now?"

Jeff woke up to the voice of the nurse in the hospital.

"Yeah." he said. "How did I get here?"

"Monotoli brought you in unconscious. You had Vampire Poison almost completely throughout your entire system. You were brought here just in time."

Jeff rubbed his head and put on his glasses. "Thanks."
***
"You're free to leave whenever you think you are ready."
***
Jeff sprang out of bed and got ready to leave. When he finally got back outside he said, "Something's wrong. I really need to find Paula."
