I’ll start with the legal stuff first, as usual. 9.9;; Digimon was not created by me, all of the characters belong to uhhhh.......someone. The Mother 2/EarthBound characters a re property of Shigesato Itoi. Like, the only characters that are mine are Heather (a self-insertion! n.n), Kiyonimon/Lunamon/Galaxiamon/GaiaGalaxiamon/MoonGalaxiamon, and the few other evil digimon I made up. So booyah.

I Have Confidence

Prologue

What if the Digimon series had ended a bit differently...?

“What do you mean we can’t go home?!” Tai shouted at Gennai.

“Well, something is blocking the Digital Gate. Nothing can penetrate it, as it has no solid form. There’s nothing you can do,” the old man answered.

“So I guess we’re stuck here...” Matt said lowly.

Chapter 1

“Darnit,” Izzy swore under his breath. “What is with this blasted thing?!” He said, quietly smacking the back of his laptop.

“Need some help, Izzy?” Tentomon, his Digimon friend, piped up.

“I’m having trouble contacting Gennai. My e-mail isn’t working, and I can’t even get to a decent laptop repair website!”

“Well, it’s not good so not sleep. It’ll probably be fine in the morning, heh heh...” Tentomon said.

“You’re right. This could just be a temporary thing....” Izzy said, putting his laptop away and going to sleep.

Meanwhile, in Winters...

Jeff was having problems of his own. “Yes, I’m positive I set them down right here!” he said angrily.

“Ummmm.....well, you’re blind as a bat without your glasses anyways, so how could ya look for them if you’re not wearing them...?” Tony, his best friend, said.

Jeff squinted. True, he couldn’t see anything without his glasses, and this was only proving worse for his work. “What am I gonna do? With that project due in a week, I’ll never get finished in time!” He sat on his bed indian-style, and laid his chin in his hands.

Suddenly, Maxwell, one of the teachers/friends at Snow Wood Boarding School, opened the door, and walked in. “Looking for these, Jeff?” he asked, holding up his glasses.

“Oh yeah! Thanks, Maxwell!” Jeff said, putting them on. He brushed his blonde bangs out of his face and grabbed his laptop. “Now if I could just get this thing started....” He began typing away.

Maxwell shrugged, and left the room. Jeff typed something into his laptop. It beeped. “Huh? What the heck is this?” After scrolling through the window that had popped up, his eyes went wide.

“Man, this looks bad. I’d better get in touch with Ness and the others...” he said, activating his watch/radio/cellphone/TV.

Back in the Digiworld...

Tai stretched his arms out and yawned loudly. He seemed awfully cheerful at the time. “Gooooood morning everybody!” he said enthusiastically. Everyone else was sitting around the fire, looking tired.

Sora looked up, looking a little worse for the wear. “Why are you so happy today?” she asked. Her digimon friend, Biyomon, sat next to her.

“I’m just glad all of the evil Digimon are gone!” Mimi said, combing out her blondish hair.

“Yeah, but aren’t we supposed to be home right now?” T.K. asked. “I thought that Gennai would have shown up after we defeated Apocolymon...” he said, Patamon sitting on his head. “Izzyyyyyyyy...”

Izzy was typing away at his laptop again. “Still not working?” Tentomon asked.

This caused everyone to turn around. “What? What happened?” Gomamon asked curiously.

“My laptop suddenly stopped working. I’ve been trying to contact Gennai for hours now, but still no dice. There seems to be some kind of barrier surrounding the Digiworld that prevents all outside communication. It won’t even let me on to the Internet!!” Izzy said.

“Just great. Now we’ll never get home and we’ll all be chomped by wild Digimon,” Joe remarked. It was typical of him to make a comment like that, being that Joe was kind of a fraidy-cat.

“Joe, ya gotta think positive!” Gomamon said. It was a vicious cycle. Something big happens, Joe comments on it (it’s usually something like “we’ll never _____ and we’ll get ____”), Gomamon chews him out, etc.

Izzy turned back to his laptop. It beeped. Some message-type thing came on the screen. It said:

“Who in the name of bread and cheese is Pokey?” Agumon asked. His stomach let loose with a loud rumbling. “Woops, was that me? Sorry...”

Tai laughed. “I guess we’d better have some breakfast or something...”

Everyone agreed with that.

*********************************************************************
Meanwhile, in the half-peaceful city of Sixton....

Heather slapped the top of her blaring clock-radio. She groaned, laying on her stomach. *I am so sick of waking up in the mornings....I wish I could just sleep all day...* she thought, dragging herself out of her bed.

After a tiring morning of watching cartoons, deciding what to wear, and snoring through breakfast, she dragged herself outside, despite her desire to surf the Web. Lately, her Netscape hadn’t been working though, so that was out of the question.

“I gotta learn to stop staying up ‘til 3 am on the computer...” she said to herself, sitting in her swing. She yawned, rubbing her eyes. She saw a faint magenta shimmer. “What was that?” she thought out loud. *It might have been just me, being that I got up like an hour ago, but I think I just saw something...* She rubbed her eyes again, not sure if she was seeing right. She walked over to where she saw it. There appeared to be something buried there....

Heather brushed away some of the dirt to reveal......a Crest and Tag! Unfortuneately for her, she didn’t have the slightest clue what it was. It had the faint picture of a star-type symbol on it.

....._*/\*_
.....\ /@\/ <-----Something to this effect....
..../../*\..\

She picked it up. It was hanging on a leather cord. “It sure is cool-looking. I wonder if it glows in the dark?” It glows, alright. Not only in the dark. It started glowing with a pinkish tint, then let loose with a burst of fuschia light. The world that Heather knew and loved sudenly vanished.

*********************************************************************
In Twoson, a few cities over....

“Let me get this straight. You said that that message you got was from someone named Kitusomon. Right?” the boy in the red cap asked.

“I’m not lying! My laptop has been acting up since yesterday, and I have a feeling it must be something bad...” Jeff said.

“Do you think it could have something to do with Pokey?” the blonde-haired girl asked.

“Who knows? I would expect it, considering Pokey ‘snuck off to another era to think about his next plan.’ I personally think so,” the boy in the karate g.i. said.

“And you said something about a ‘Digiworld.’ Could that have been what he was talking about?” the boy in the red cap asked.

“It very well could have been, Ness. You never know what Pokey could pull. We’d better find this ‘Digiworld,’ and get there before Pokey gets a chance to wreak havoc. Are you guys in this?” Jeff asked, holding out one hand.

“I’m definetely in,” Ness said, “I can’t wait to kick Pokey’s rear again!” He put one hand on top of Jeff’s.

“Me too,” the girl said. “Pokey’s gonna pay dearly for this one.” She laid her hand on top of the two boys’.

“As a prince, I am entitled to guard and protect my friends, as well as innocent worlds. I have no choice,” the boy in the g.i. said, placing one hand on the others’.

“All right! Now, let’s just hope the Sky Runner will get us there....” Jeff said, scratching his chin.

The girl shook her head. “But we don’t even know where this place is! Even if the Sky Runner does work, how will we get to this ‘Digiworld?’” she asked.

“Paula’s got a point, Jeff,” Ness said. “The Sky Runner isn’t exactly the most reliable source of transportation there is. Heck, we might end up in Guam or something!”
“Maybe we could ask Apple Kid for help...” the other boy said.

“That’s a great idea, Poo! Apple Kid will know!” Jeff shouted.

Needless to say, Apple Kid didnt have the faintest idea what to do. “This is a real predicament. The only thing I can think of is to find something from this ‘Digiworld,’ and try to transfer the data from it’s point of origin to the Sky Runner’s memory,” the round kid in the red overalls suggested.

“An item from the Digiworld....” Ness rummaged through his backpack. All he found was: a pair of dirty socks, a couple of bombs, some PSI caramels, and a Slinky. “Nothing here,” he said.

Paula went next. She looked through her purple duffel bag and found: a frying pan, a badge with alightning bolt on it, and a coin. “Nope.”

Jeff for SURE didn’t have anything, and Poo didn’t either. “Well, looks like we’re pretty much screwed,” Jeff said.

Above the four crestfallen teenagers, a tiny flash of light shone. Something literally fell rom the sky, and it hit Paula on the head!

“OUCH!!!” She rubbed the spot where it hit. “That smarts!!” The object fell to the grass below.

Poo picked it up. “What’s this thing?” It was a Digivice, except neither Poo nor the others knew that. It had a single symbol on one side:

....._*/\*_
.....\ /@\/ <-----Something to this effect....
..../../*\..\

“Could it be something from the Digiworld?” Ness asked.

“It very well could be!” Jeff said, grabbing the Digivice and heading for the Sky Runner.

“Hey wait up!!” the other three shouted.

*********************************************************************
In a different part of the Digiworld...

A lone Digimon stared at the ocean, ignoring the dense fog that was always there. It looked like a little pink marshmallow with arms and feet. It had huge eyes, a tiny black nose, a crescent moon on it’s forehead (no, this is NOT from Sailor Moon), and two big stars on it’s cheeks. It had pointed ears, with a little swirly thing on the lobes, and a small star perched on top of each ear. This one was obviously into the stars.

“Kiyonimon,” a voice said behind it. The tiny digimon looked behind her.

“What do you want, Parakkimon?” Kiyonimon said. Parakkimon was an odd-looking Digimon. It looked similar to Patamon in a way. It was completely round, and pink, and it had little red feet. It had beady eyes, a small mouth, and two butterfly wings. On it’s head was a single hair sticking up, with a blue bead-looking-thing on the end. At the time, it was fluttering above Kiyonimon.

“You’re failing your mission, Kiyonimon. Lady Kitusomon wants results. Have you found the eight DigiDestined yet?” Parakkimon asked.

“No. I don’t want to work for Kitusomon. I just want to be free!” Kiyonimon shouted.

“That’s all you talk about, is freedom. Us evil digimon work long hours, and we work for results.”

“I’m not evil! Go away, Parakkimon!!” Kiyonimon shouted. “Sun Beam!” The crescent moon on Kiyonimon’s forehead started glowing, and a small beam shot out, barely missing Parakkimon’s wing. It fluttered away as quick as it could. “Little punk.”

********************************************************************
With Tai and the gang.....

“I suppose that we’ll have to go on some adventure or something,” Joe said. “Whoever, or whatever this Pokey person is, he doesn’t sound good.”

“Calm down, Joe. It’s not like anything’s just going to attack us out of the blue,” Tai said. “We’ve already defeated Piedmon, leader of the Dark Masters. We are safe as day.”

Matt directed a sidelong look at Tai. “You saw what that message said. This Pokey person’s using Digimon to find this one guy. That sounds pretty pathetic, but I have a feeling we’ll be meeting up with the guy he’s looking for sometime soon.”

“Why do I have the feeling that we’re going to be meeting up with some really big Digimon?” Mimi asked. “If that message was true, then that means...”

“...Our adventure isn’t over yet...” Palmon finished.

All sixteen of them groaned. A tiny flash of light appeared over them, and started falling. Gabumon looked up. “Hey, what’s that?”

“It looks like a shooting star,” Kari said. Everyone agreed, it did look that way. But shooting stars in the day?!

“I didn’t think shooting stars occurred during the day,” Izzy said. “It could be something different...”

“I think we should go see what it is,” Patamon said.

“But it could be dangerous!” Joe said as everyone walked towards where it was falling. “You guys don’t know what you’re doing!!”

“Aw, lighten up, Joe,” Gomamon said.

“Fine then, I’m staying right here!” Silence. “Ummm...” More silence, a cricket chirps. “W-w-wait for me!!” Joe shouted, running after them.

*********************************************************************
Back in Twoson...

“Is that thing hooked up yet, Jeff?” Ness asked impatiently.

“Almost done....okay, itemfinder on, set to.....point of origin. Radar on, full power.....Okay! Ready. All aboard, everyone!” Jeff said.

Ness, Paula, Poo, and Jeff climbed inside the silver UFO-looking-thing. “Now you’re saying that this thing is gonna take us to where that....thing....came from?” Paula asked.

“It should,” Jeff said. “We might have a few problems, but other than that, everything’s going great.” He was still looking at his radar. It suddenly started going haywire. “AUGH! What the...? Aw no, not this again!!” Jeff shouted, pounding on the radar.

“Ummm...hopefully we won’t end up in Japan again...” Ness said. They had recently flown through a portal and ended up in Nerima, Japan and met up with some martial artists. (PikaChan’s Note: See my other fanfic, Phoenix, for more details.)

“No, I think this one’s going somewhere else,” Jeff said, looking at the white mist in front of them. The Sky Runner suddenly started accelerating. Jeff was thrown back against the wall.

“This looks bad...” Poo said, holding on to his seat.

“We’re...going...somewhere else...alright!” Jeff said. The Sky Runner started to glow a blinding white, and the last thing everyone saw before everything went black was a silhouetted figure.

********************************************************************
In the Digiworld...

Heather flew towards the ground at a very fast speed. A shield seemed to be protecting her from the air hitting her. It seemed like she was inside a huge comet. Everything happened all at once; she saw a silhouetted figure, a fat kid, a walking star, and a group of kids flash in front of her face before she hit the ground. Luckily for her, she landed on some very soft grass, so she wasn’t hurt much. She looked up in the sky, felt a wave of dizzyness, and blacked out.

********************************************************************
Elsewhere in the Digiworld...

“I think it hit over here!” Matt said, running through the forest. Gabumon tagged along behind him.

“Whatever it is, I hope it’s nothing scary!” Mimi said, holding on to her big hat for dear life. Palmon was running slightly ahead of her, along with T.K. and Joe.

Suddenly, Matt stopped running when the group came to a clearing. “What is it, Matt?” Gabumon asked.

“It...looks like a person!” Matt said. There was a girl laying in the grass. She had long brownish hair tied in pigtails, with a couple of blonde strands hanging down in front. She was wearing a light purple t-shirt and flared jeans, and she was holding something. (She was also wearing some light purple platform sandals.)

“That’s crazy! Another person here, in the Digiworld?” Izzy said, walking towards the girl laying on the ground, which seemed to be steaming. Tentomon hovered above his head. “Wow...as bizzarre as it sounds, it is indeed a person! She doesn’t really look hurt, but she’s unconscious...”

The group huddled around the girl. “Is she...okay?” Kari asked.

Izzy checked her pulse. “Yeah, she’s alive and breathing, she just seems to be asleep. We should take her back to the campsite. Who gets the liberty of carrying her?” Izzy then noticed something in her hand. “What in the...? Oh my gosh! She has a Tag and Crest!!”

“Then that means she’s a DigiDestined!” Tai shouted.

“But that’s crazy! How could she be a DigiDestined? Where’s her Digimon?” Sora asked.

“We’ll have to find that out later. For now, let’s just get her back to camp,” Matt said, carefully lifting her. The group started to head back to camp.

*********************************************************************

Heather was floating in a magenta-colored fog. *Where...am I?* she thought.

*You’re in the Digiworld now.* a voice said out of nowhere.

*Who are you?! Show yourself!*

A walking star suddely appeared out of the fog. It had arms, legs, and a face. There were crescent moon shapes on it’s cheeks, and had bright blue eyes. *My name’s Lunamon. I’m your Digimon!* it said.

*What’s a Digimon?*

*That will be revealed to you in time. For now, let’s take you back to the REAL Digiworld.* Lunamon said. A bright flash of light engulfed the area, and the foggy void disappeared.

********************************************************************

“Do you think she’s going to be okay?” T.K. asked his brother, who was carefully watching the unconscious girl. There was an ice-pack on her head, as there seemed to be a small bump there.

“I hope so, if she’s a DigiDestined. She could be a great help in beating up any evil Digimon,” Matt said, ruffling T.K.’s hair.

“But where’s her Digimon?”

“I wouldn’t know. It’s around here somewhere, but she probably wouldn’t know it. I mean, she may have only just came from the real world...”

Gabumon and Patamon walked up to the two boys. “Still hasn’t woken up yet?” Patamon asked, flying on top of T.K.’s head.

“No, not yet,” Matt said, Gabumon sitting down next to him.

The girl started to groan a little. Her crest started glowing.

“Hey, I think she’s coming around!” Gabumon shouted. This got everyone’s attention, and they all hudled around her. “Hey, careful! She might get kind of scaredif we’re all huddled around her like this!” Everyone backed away a litle, except for Matt.

********************************************************************

Heather could hear voices, but they seemed kind of muffled. She was in extreme pain, as she must’ve hit her head or something. She slowly opened her eyes, to see a boy with spiky-ish blond hair standing over her. “Wh...where am I?” she asked quietly.

“You’re in the Digiworld. We found you unconscious on the ground awhile ago.” the boy said.

Heather sat up, the ice-pack falling off of her head. “Man, my head hurts...huh?” She looked up to see some other kids around her age sitting around her, and some other strange-looking creatures. She looked at the object in her hand, which was glowing. “This has GOT to be a dream...”

“That’s what we thought when we first came here,” a girl in a pink dress said. “But it’s real as day...”

“You must’ve took a nasty fall there. Are you okay?” a boy in an orange shirt asked.

“I think so...my head hurts like heck, though...” Heather said, running her hand through her light brown hair.

“Oh, I think we should introduce ourselves, before anything else. My name’s Sora,” a girl in a blue helmet said.

“I’m Biyomon!” a pink bird-looking animal said.

“I’m Tai, the self-appointed leader of the group, and this is Agumon,” a boy with brown hair said. There was an orange lizard sitting next to him.

“My name’s Koushiro, but just call me Izzy,” the boy in the orange shirt said. “That’s Tentomon right there.” A red bug-type thing was sitting next to him. It raised a claw.

“I’m Mimi!” the girl in the pink dress said.

“And I’m Palmon!” a plant-looking creature said.

“My name’s Joe. I’m kind of slow, sorta nearsighted, and kind of a fraidy cat,” a boy with glasses said.

“You’re always a fraidy cat. By the way, my name’s Gomamon!” a white creature said.

“My name’s T.K! This is my best friend Patamon!” a youngr boy said, pointing to a small winged creature on his head.

“Hiiii!” it said.

“My name’s Kari. This is Gatomon,” a younger girl said. There was a cat-like animal next to her. It nodded it’s head.

“And I’m Matt, and this is Gabumon,” the blonde boy said, motioning to a tiger-looking creature with a horn on it’s head.

“Pleased to make your aquaintance,” Gabumon said.

“It’s nice to meet you all. My name’s Heather,” Heather said.

“You’ve got a Tag and Crest! That means you’re the ninth DigiDestined!” Tai said, pointing at the glowing crest in Heather’s hand.

“So that’s what this thing is...” Heather said, looking at it.

“I believe that’s the Crest of Confidence,” Izzy said. “May I see it?” Heathr handed it to him. “Yes, it is! You have the Crest of Confidence. Do you have a Digivice?”

Heather shrugged. “What’s a....Digivice?” Everyone took out theirs for her to see. “Oh...”

“Do you have a Digimon?” T.K asked.

“Let me guess. All of these creaures around here are Digimon?” Heather asked.

“Yep, you guessed right!” Gatomon said.

“I’m a little confused here...Can someone tell me what’s going on?” Heather hung the Tag and Crest around her neck.

********************************************************************
Meanwhile, in the Sky Runner...

“Someone stop this crazy thing!!!” Ness shouted.

“Uh oh, I think we’re gonna crash!” Paula yelled, pointing out the window. There was a thick-forested island below.

“I know we are!” Poo shouted.

The island got bigger and bigger. Jeff could barely make out a small pink creature sitting on a cliff. The Sky Runner ripped through the trees, making small scratches on the surface of it. It finally came into a clearing, crashing to the ground near a small campsite.

**********************************************************************
Elsewhere in the Digiworld...

Kiyonimon had seen the UFO-looking thing crash through the trees. “What was that?” she said to herself. “Looks like I’d better check this out.....”

Parakkimon suddenly appeared again. “You have more important things to do! Lady Kitusomon wishes to see you...” he said with a matter-of-fact tone.

Kiyonimon sighed. “Alright....let’s go....” she said. The two Digimon glowed with a black light, then completely disappeared.

In a dark and gloomy palace...

“Lady Kitusomon! I have brought Kiyonimon,” Parakkimon’s voice rang out in the quiet room.

“Kiyonimon. Approach,” a cold, feminine voice echoed.

Kiyonimon nervously walked toward the voice. A silhouetted figure came into view. “Y-y-yes, Lady Kitusomon?” Kiyonimon stammered.

“Have you located the eight DigiDestined yet?” Kitusomon said.

“N-no. I am very sorry, but they’re just nowhere to be found.”

“Parakkimon has told me that you wish to be free. Is this true?”

“Y-yes, I want to be free.”

“Let me enlighten you. You are an evil Digimon. You will obey my every command. I order you to find the eight DigiDestined! You will stop with all of this nonsense about freedom, and pay no attention to that UFO for now. Now go, Chonchimon! Teach this worthless Digimon a lesson she’ll never forget!”

A crocodile-like Digimon raced towards the frightened Kiyonimon. “Evil claw!” A wave of dark energy, originating from the long, razor-sharp claws on Chonchimon’s hands, raced into Kiyonimon. She screamed, as the pain seemed to sap away all of her feelings.

“Let this be a lesson to you, Kiyonimon. I command you to go find the DigiDestined. And while you’re at it, let’s see if we can’t find you a trainer. That is all, remove yourself from my prescence, both of you.”

Parakkimon and Kiyonimon glowed a bright white, and disappeared.

********************************************************************

“Did you guys see that?! A UFO just crashed over there!!” Tai shouted.

“We’d better go check it out!” Agumon said. All seventeen of them ran over to the silver object on the ground.

Heather looked inside one of the windows. “There’s people inside! They’re unconscious!

Tai tried to open the door. He quickly took his hand away, and held it in pain. “This thing’s burning hot! We’d better be careful!”

“I’ll take care of it! Boom Bubble!” Patamon said. The bomb-like bubble blasted the door off. “Okay, we can get to those kids now!”

Patamon, Tentomon, and Biyomon managed to get inside without being burnt by the hot metal. “Can someone you cool this thing off?” Biyomon asked.

Matt and Heather went and got a couple buckets of water. They splashed it onto the Sky Runner, cooling the metal off. “That should do it,” Heather said.

Everyone managed to get the three boys and the girl out of the UFO without getting burnt. There was a boy wearing a red baseball cap among the group. He was also wearing a blue-and-yellow striped t-shirt, a yellow backpack, and blue jean shorts. He had black hair.

The only girl in the group had long blonde hair, tied back with a red ribbn. She was wearing a pink traveling dress. One of the other boys had black hair too, only there was a single strand tied in a ponytail on top of his head. He was wearing a white karate g.i. The last boy in the group had blonde hair and glasses. He was wearing a dark gray school uniform.

“Great, more people to wake up,” Mimi said. She calmly went and got a bucket of water (accompanied by Palmon), and splashed it on the four kids.

The girl sat up coughing, as well as the boys. “What happened? Where are we?” she asked.

“You’re in the Digiworld. Ya crashed down in that huge UFO-looking thing,” Sora said.

“This is so cool! A real UFO! Are you guys ali-” T.K. was cut off by Matt clamping his hand over over his mouth.

The blonde girl laughed. “How cute,” she said.

The boy in the red cap spoke up. “Jeff, I think the Sky Runner picked a bad spot to crash...” he said to the boy with the glasses.

“Well, at least we’re alive,” Jeff said. He took off his glasses and started cleaning them with his jacket.

The girl whapped both Jeff and the boy in the red cap on the back of the heads. “Sometimes you guys can be so rude. We should introduce ourselves!” She turned to Tai and the gang. “My name’s Paula. I’m from Twoson.”

The boy with the pigtail stood up. “I am Prince Poo of Dalaam.”

“My name is Jeff Andonuts. I am from the acclaimed country of Winters,” the boy with the glasses said.

Finally, the red-capped boy stood up, wringing out his shirt. “I’m Ness. I live in Onett.”

The DigiDestined introduced themselves, as well as their Digimon.

Jeff bent down to look at Tentomon. “Incredible,” he commented. “These creatures are capable of speaking human language? Wait until Tony hears this!” He began taking notes.

Tai pulled Sora aside. “Have you ever heard of any of those countries they mentioned?” he asked her.

“Nope, never. There’s something fishy about those guys, but I can’t quite put my finger on it...” Sora said.

“Still, we should be nice to them. After all, they are real people....”

Suddenly, something crashed through the trees. It was a big, red, beetle looking thing.

Paula screamed. “What is that thing?!!”

“That’s Kuwagamon. He’s a real pain in the neck. This guy is no pushover!” Izzy said.

“Aw, not this guy again...” Sora said. “Let’s go, Biyomon!”

“Right! Spiral Twister!!” A bright green swirl flew from Biyomon’s wings and crashed into Kuwagamon. “It’s not even phasing him!” Biyomon shouted.

“Okay, let’s try this! Pepper Breath!” Agumon said. A small fireball flew from Agumon’s mouth.

Ness looked up. Kuwagamon swooped down over the large group. “Ugh, this thing is tougher than it looks! PSI Paralysis!” An invisible wave hit Kuwagamon, causing it to drop to the ground.

Joe blinked. “What just happened?”

“I believe Ness just used psychic energy! That’s incredible! I’ve never seen anything like that before!!” Izzy began taking notes.

Paula approached the immobile Kuwagamon. “I’ll take care of this thing! PSI Freeze Gamma!” A wave of ice-cold water turned Kuwagamon into a block of ice.

Tai and the others just stood there with blank expressions on thier faces.
Kuwagamon recovered from the Freeze blast, and flew off to the best of it’s ability. “You have GOT to show us how to do that,” Matt said.

“Nah, we were born with PSI Powers. I really doubt any of you guys could just learn it like that...” Ness said.

Izzy was again typing away at his laptop. “Ack, still nothing! This is really starting to annoy me...”

Jeff walked over to Izzy. “Your laptop isn’t working either? That’s a bummer.”

“Wait a second! I just thought of something!” This caused everyone to crowd around Izzy. “Ness, Paula, Jeff, Poo? Do you guys know of anyone named Pokey?”

“I know him like the back of my hand! Why?” Ness asked.

“Check this out.” Izzy pulled up the message he recieved the night before.

TRANSLATING...

“What does this mean?!” Paula asked.

“That must mean that Pokey is somewhere in the Digiworld, or will be soon,” Jeff said. “I recieved a similar message last night too!” He pulled out his laptop and brought up the message he got.

“What?! But that can’t be right!!” Matt exclaimed. “This is really screwed up...”

“My theory is this: Pokey meant to send that message to you guys, but it came here instead. The same goes for the one that you got, as it was meant for us. They really messed up.”

“I can’t blame Pokey. He’s always doing stupid stuff like that...” Ness said.

Meanwhile, Heather was sitting off somewhere, talking with Paula. “This is all really confusing me. First I find that Tag and Crest, then I end up here, you all come along, and now this?! Oi, I’m getting a headache...” she said.

“I don’t blame ya. I’m pretty confuzzled myself,” Paula said. “Especially that Kwaggamon thing. Just what exactly are Digimon?”

“I’m trying to figure all of that out myself. I just got here, like you guys.”

Jeff noticed something attached to Tai’s belt. “Hey! What’s that thing?!” he shouted.

“What, you mean my Digivice?” Tai asked.

“Could I see it for a minute?” Jeff asked.

“Well....sure.” Tai took it off of his belt and handed it to him.

“What are you doing, Jeff?” Poo asked.

Jeff was comparing Tai’s Digivice to the thing that had hit Paula on the head earlier. “I knew it! So that’s what this thing is!”

“What? You have a Digivice?” Matt asked.

“The thing just fell out of the sky earlier. It hit Paula on the head.” Jeff said.

“Wait a minute.” Matt grabbed the Digivice and looked at the symbol on the side. “Hey, that’s the same symbol that’s on Heather’s Crest! That must mean that this is her Digivice!” He looked over at Heather. “Hey Heather, could you come here for a second?”

Heather and Paula stood up and walked over to Matt. “What’s up?” Heather asked.

“I think I found your Digivice...”
