Ness' Ultimate Battle Part 1 By: Shadow The Hedgehog Somewhere amongst the chaos of Ness' unkempt room we find the leader of the chosen four fighting the toys, bats, weapons, and trash to their places. "And it's the bottom of the ninth! Bases loaded, and four points behind! Two strikes, two outs! Ness is at the plate and..." Ness mimicked a baseball announcer as he tossed a paper ball into the air with his left hand, and readied the bat with his right. "And it's a home--" but as Ness spun quickly, he lost his bat and hit the wall, narrowly missing the window. "Oh man, that was close. I thought I was dead for a second there!" The red-cap-wearing Ness proclaimed. Ness walked over and placed that bat next to the other fifteen he had gathered in his journey. He placed them in order of when he had obtained them. It had only been a year since he had defeated Giygas, and it was his fifteenth birthday! "Nothin' could go wrong today!" Ness proclaimed to himself, "I just gotta make things look nice for my pals!" It had also been a year since Ness had cleaned his room. Ness' mom's voice then screeched from downstairs, and proclaimed his name on a note Ness didn't know exsist. In a blur, Ness was downstairs. "What?! What's wrong???" Ness waved his arms frantically. At the door was a crying little girl, no older than Ness' own sister; Tracey. "Apologize to this little girl at once, Ness!" his mother yelled. "For... what?" Ness asked, completely lost. "He..." the girl sobbed, "He wecked my dowwy!!" the girl cried. "Wha..?" Ness' mouth hung open like he was a fish. "Ness!!!!" His mother warned, sounding more annoyed. "But I didn't do anything for once! I'm INNOCENT! I have been in my room ALL DAY!" Ness pleaded. "If you want to get your birthday presents today, you'll apologize, NOW!" Ness' mother tapped her foot. "Bu-bu-bu-bu-bu!!!!" Ness tried to say something, but the words wouldn't come, "I-DID-NOT-DO-IT!" Ness choked. He was on the brink of crying himself. "I guess you really DON'T want this party..." his mother glared. Ness got on his knees so he was on the same level as the girl, "I'm sorry," then he whispered, "I didn't do it, but I'll get the bully who did!" The girl smiled a little and hugged Ness then went off on her day. Ness then went on his way back to his room. He knew arguing with his mother would only make things worse. "Okay, I retract my earlier statement. Today has been partially ruined. But that's okay, it'll get better!" Ness smiled, "Yeah! Mom was probably just stressed is all! I make this room spotless and that'll make her feel better!" "I have a good feeling about what my buddies are gonna get me!" Ness ecstatically began cleaning with a big smile. Again he heard his mother boom his name out. "Oh no," Ness groaned. Ness rushed downstairs, there stood the guy from the bike shop holding a large char-grilled bike in his hands, "This is what's left," the man pointed to the grilled steel, "Of the bike you smashed, kid! Pay up!" Ness' jaw dropped, and saw his mother looked extremely ticked, so instead of trying to prove his innocence, he payed up using a fund he had been saving for quite some time. And back up to his room he walked and sat on his now perfect bed, and examined his perfect room. "I guess I'm not getting a party this year," Ness sighed, crying a little, "Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me..." Ness began singing softly. Ness turned onto his side, and yanked his cap over his eyes and cried for what seemed like minutes until he felt a soft hand on his shoulder. Ness turned over and saw Paula standing there, holding a box in her hands, then he looked at his clock and realized he'd fallen asleep! It was one in the afternoon! The party was fifteen minutes from starting! Ness sniffled and Paula asked, "What's wrong? Didn't sleep well? Bad dreams?" "No!" Ness said, "Everyone is blaming me with things I never did!" Ness exclaimed, "And I thought mom had cancelled the party..." "That explains why there isn't any decorations! She invited me in with a smile, so maybe she's over it?" Paula smiled and gave Ness and loving hug. "I hope so..." but just then, the door bell rang, and Ness shot down the stairs, Paula right behind him, "I'm coming!" Ness cried and when he flung open the door, it was Poo! "Hiya, amigo!" "You sure are perky!" Poo grinned and walked in, high-fiving Ness, "Where should I set my gift?" "Uhh..." Ness had not exactly done much to think about this, "Oh, on the table there..." Ness then saw his mom busily cooking something, and she just smiled at him. 'She always has been one to get over things fast...' Ness thought silently. Then, the three of them sat at the table, then Tracey came up to the table as well, then the phone rang. "Don't get up, hon', I'll get it." Ness' mom smiled and when she lifted it up her face changed from happy, to surprised, "No... no, Ness is right here. What? Destroying the bank?!" Ness looked shocked as well, then he looked at the others, who also shrugged. "Okay, thank you, bye!" She frantically hung up, "Something is going on at the bank... they claim to see you down there destroying buildings and attacking cops!" Ness, Paula and Poo leapt to their feet, "Don't worry, we're on it!" Ness proclaimed as he and his pals ran to the scene. There they saw another Ness. But this Ness, had red eyes, a leather jacket covered in chains, black shirt, blue jeans, and black leather boots! "Hey! That's the guy who must have done all the bad stuff to the people! Hey! Faker!" Ness ran forward. Just then, the other one turned around to face the real Ness, "Me? A faker? I believe YOU'RE the fake between the two of us! You think you can even BEGIN to compare to me, fool? Haha! You're not even good enough to be my fake!" the punk Ness proclaimed. "I'll make you eat every single one of those words! Poo! Paula! Stand back! I have to do away with this imposter by myself! Don't try to help me!" To Be Continued! Coming Next: Ness Versus Punk Ness, The Ultimate Battle!
