Chapter 7

“This is as far as I can take you. Good luck on your search, remember I am always around when you need something.”

“Master, why did you have to leave in the middle of a snowstorm in Siberia, it’s cold here!” screamed an already freezing cold Poo.

“Hey, we told to bring warmer clothes Poo but you said you would be fine in the cold weather” mocked Paula.

“Brrrrrrr…I didn’t think it would be this cold though.”

“Well, don’t forget though, we are out here to find the horseman of power and then get out of here before we encounter anyone. Even though I can’t see how someone could survive out here even for a short period of time though” explained Jeff.

The part of Siberia they were sent to was extremely desolate. They couldn’t even see the hands in front of them because of the heavy snowfall. After a few hours of the torture they came to agree that some sort of shelter needed to be made before night fell.

“Hey Jeff, you got anything in there that can help us!” screamed Ness, who didn’t even know where Jeff was at that moment.

“Just a few broken appliances that could help keep us warm when I fix them but nothing that could provide shelter for the night.”

“Hey guys, I’m starting to get a strange feeling behind that snow bank there” screamed a shivering Paula.

“Yeah, that’s odd. No bank that huge should exist. It has to be at least two hundred feet high and who knows how wide it is” stated Jeff.

“Jeff, do you have something that can cut through this snow, would your Gaia Beam work?” said Paula.

“Yeah it will, I’m just afraid to see what’s on the other side of this. I don’t know if we’ll find the horseman of power or find trouble by going through this thing. When I do start blasting remember to move fast, it’s cold enough for this snow to refreeze in just 40 seconds. Oh yeah, don’t get wet either, it won’t be pleasant if you do” explained Jeff.

Jeff, using his Gaia Beam, started to slowly melt away the snow in front of them just enough so they could walk through steadily. About a half hour later, Jeff stopped melting the snow the second some light started to come through what seemed like the end of the tunnel. A look of despair quickly came over Jeff’s face like something he had seen just froze him because of shock.

“Jeff what’s wrong, why aren’t you going any further” said Paula.

“Um… Um… Um… let’s just say we got our work cut out for us.”

“Who is it? It’s not like it could be Giygas, right?” said Poo drawing his sword of kings.

“ACTUALLY, it might be him. Pokey’s also there in a more heavily armored machine than he was before and he is with another human looking being. I can’t really see anything else beside some huge device in the middle from the snow. …Ness, what’s wrong, you alright?”

“Ness, honey, are you alright?”

“Yeah Ness, what’s wrong that heavy breathing of yours doesn’t sound too good” said Poo.

“My… fight with… Mike… I’m starting to feel the effects of that fight *gasp* I can’t move my… arms and… legs *gasp*”

“Let me see Ness, I’ll roll up the sleeve of you shirt and jacket and let’s see what’s wrong before we do anything else and while were hidden” explained Paula.

What Poo saw next shocked him. “What the? Those markings, but how did he do that? Who trained that kid, only fourteen years old and he nailed that pressure point combination perfectly, with a delayed effect means he lacks strength but it still worked perfectly? Who in the heck trained him, I thought the only person who knew that precise combination of strikes was dead for years. Does that mean… no, there is no way a person could learn THAT special technique with the Omicron lock within such a short time… it’s not possible… but how fast is Mike really…not to mention how strong are his friends, if he is the weakest of the five. Ness, when you fought Mike did he hit you with a quick attack that was about 100 strikes long, but not feel it much.”

“Yeah… he did… *gasp*”

“Poo where are you getting at?” said Jeff.

“Mike pulled off a move called the Omicron lock to paralyze Ness. But since Ness is so strong physically, the effect of the technique was delayed tremendously and Ness just started to feel it. I was taught how to undo this technique, but it will take some time. You and Paula go ahead Jeff. Ness and I will go ahead once I remove this technique off of Ness. We won’t be long.”

“Alright, we’ll go. I have a bone to pick with Mike once we meet again. Hurting my boyfriend like that…” said and thought Paula while slowing advancing forward with Jeff.

After about only five-hundred feet Paula and Jeff were able to start to make out more of what lied ahead of them. Pokey was there with another definitely, and Pokey was taking orders from that person.

“Pokey, what’s the condition of it” Jeff and Paula could hardly hear it but enough to at least know, like a dim whisper.

“Lord Giygas, the weapon is coming along as scheduled, but it will take a while to charge. Once this thing goes off KABOOM!!!! No more horseman of power and any worries of you and the others being defeated. Do you know if Gorin got the horsemen of time and wisdom yet?”

“No, but I’m suspecting all is going according to our plan to wipe them out one by one. That fool Ness thought he and his friends defeated me! Just wait until I see him again, he’ll pay for what he did to me. My fear of him and destroying of the Mani Mani caused me to lose my mind and not be at my full potential to defeat him!”

“This is bad, hey Jeff is it possible you can disable whatever they’re building” whispered Paula.

“Yeah, but it would take time. Not to mention I have to be close. Since neither you nor I can hold them off alone, I don’t think a distraction is a good idea or until Poo can get Ness out of that lock” explained Jeff.

“I’ll contact Poo to see on how the process is going but I think we better move back some before this snow dies down and we’re spotted.”

Meanwhile, back near the snow bank, “Darn, how Mike was able to do this to you I really don’t know. But that’s a matter to ask him once I see him. Ness, this is going to hurt really bad, so try not to scream to loudly okay. Hiiiyyaaa!!” screamed Poo as he hit Ness extremely hard right in the heart. Ness was moving again but he was clasping his heart.

“Hey Poo, thanks. That felt worse than one of those nuclear power robots exploding. Let’s go see what’s going on with Jeff and Paula.”

<Poo, Ness can you hear me?>

<Yeah, Paula I can hear you. What’s going on with the Giygas and Pokey situation.>

<Ness, it’s not good. It looks like a weapon of some sorts but in this snow Jeff can’t even tell what it does.>

<Paula, what are you suggesting we do then?>

<Poo, I want me, you, and Ness to provide a distraction so Jeff can disable whatever this thing is.>

<Okay, whatever you want Paula. I’ve been looking to get Pokey after how he turned on the human race in the snap of finger! He’s mine!> telepathically hollered Ness.

“Just remember, Ness, were not robots this time so if we get destroyed…”

“…We’ll have no body for our spirits to return to. I’m not too worried though. I what Mike said was true about the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse being weaker for a while, then we should have no problem providing a distraction. Just remember…”

“…Not to kill Giygas, but Pokey is free game right.”

“Don’t kill him. Remember, we’ve never killed anyone before so we don’t need to start now. Just let him suffer, he deserves it for what he did to us.”

“Alright then, I’ll lead since I’m faster and can attack with stealth. You take up the rear with Paula and then do what you two want to do. I just want first crack at these guys anyway.”

“Fine by me” said Ness.

Poo started a fast charge in stealth so no one in range could spot him, then Poo started an assault by taking out a few starmen and mooks, but that was all his one attack could do. Then he went back into the shadows in the snowstorm. “What was that, are we under attack?!” yelled a confused Pokey.

“It’s not possible, no one can find us in here. Besides, no warrior is so brainless as to challenge me in a fight as I can destroy anyone” explained a seemingly calm Giygas.

“Well that’s not what I hear! I hear you can’t even keep your head on straight even by the thought of one person. I believe his name is NESS!” shouted a voice from the distance.

“Who dares recite that name in my presence? Show yourself! I command you to show yourself right now!” screamed Giygas in his human voice.

“Now why would I do that? I’m not stupid you see. I know your every move, your every tactic. So come on, try to find me if you dare, Giygas. Your goofy monsters and Earth life-form mutations couldn’t stop me before. So, how can they stop me now?

“Insolent fool, if you even think for one moment you can escape my wrath, just keep thinking that, I will destroy you!”

“Bring it on then, and bring your little cohort too, I would like to pound him into oblivion also.”

“Little! I’ll show you little you idiot! Eat lasers you fool!” With that, Pokey starting firing like a maniac with nothing else on his mind. “Ha! Ha! Ha! Nobody could withstand that blast!”

“Wrong again, Pokey. You see, I could have easily fired a PSI technique and you have never seen it coming. I must admit that machine of yours is powerful, but can it withstand and all out assault from, Michael, the horseman of time or me, Ness, the horseman of courage” explained Ness to Pokey, trying to further the distraction to give Jeff a run for the weapon.

“Ness, I figured it would have to be you, only you would have the stupidity to make those types of comments” said Pokey, pointing his lasers at Ness. “But, you also forgot about Giygas, who is right now beating the daylight out of your friends.”

“They can hold their own against his weaken form. You and I have a score to settle though so let’s settle it now!”

“Fine, you have no idea what you’re up against though.”

“You and all of those flunkies you have behind you don’t have a prayer.”

“Fine then, eat lead!” screamed an extremely ticked off Pokey firing at Ness randomly. Ness got hit a few times and could not believe that he was alright after that barrage and charged forward.

Meanwhile, about five-hundred meters back. “Okay, this is very bad, I didn’t think he would have this much power. PSI Starstorm Omega!”

“Don’t worry Poo, we just have too hold out for now. The real action is heading just ahead of us. We just need to keep this up for a little while longer” softly said Paula to Poo.

“Why don’t you just worry about what is in front of you then, even though no matter what you try, you two won’t have a shot against me” said Giygas.

“Then before you destroy us then answer me one question, is the horsemen legend true? I mean it is slightly farfetched and all. Even though I have read about it in the ancient scriptures, even my people believe just to be local folklore. How do I just know this isn’t some scheme cooked up by that wretch Pokey to trick us? How do I even know if you’re the real Giygas? How…”

“This should answer your question!” hollered an extremely ticked Giygas. He fired his flash like technique at Poo at full power. Poo then hit the ground hard, then fell unconscious

“Poo! Why you, how dare you do that to him! I see that you are the real thing. Only Giygas could ever do that attack. That technique still brings back the nightmare of facing him. The pure blood-red bodiless form of his being just hammering us continuously without a care, without relent, without a mind. That pain my spirit felt in that metallic body was worse then anything I ever I have ever felt before. How much more pain must we all suffer before we can finally rid ourselves of these monsters? Now I understand the terror in Mike’s eyes when he had to relieve his experience against Godan. From what I read from his mind, he was a troubled soul completely paranoid of anything because of how his peers treated him. I too know that feeling of having my soul ripped apart from just an evil presence. All of us feel the same way though, we all wish we didn’t have to fight anymore in our little group. I don’t know what drives Ness’s righteous heart to such great lengths to protect us, but I know what drives me though. Those kids I see everyday, Ness, Jeff, Poo, my family, my friends, and everyone else who has ever or who might ever feel the pain of anyone else and especially these monsters must pay some sort of justice in some way. For some, it is their conscious that finally will awake them to the horrible things that they have done. For these monster that try to hurt without any cause but destruction, must pay the price of their misdeeds!”

“Misdeeds, what do you mean by that?”

“Giygas, your about to find out. You see. I happen to know of your weakened state. Meaning if I have to defeat you on my own, I will. You and your brothers will pay for everything you’ve done by the hands of ancient powers long ago for told!” exclaimed an extremely angered Paula.

“Even in my weakened state, you are still no match for me. I’ve had enough of this talk with your inferior mind. I will be happy when I tear your pathetic little body limb from limb and I shall enjoy it all! That boyfriend of yours will suffer the same fate as well, and once I’ve splatter your blood on this planet of yours, the universe will fall to us and all you can do is watch from the flames of the underworld in horror as everything you knew burns by my hand!” Giygas then started his onslaught on Paula. He hit her with everything he had, but Paula was ready. Paula had psychic shields ready for every energy technique Giygas threw at her. Paula had a look in her eyes that was different from the innocent look she usually had.

Giygas then charged forward and hit Paula right in her stomach. Paula broke her own fall but could not get back up from the pain she felt after she landed in the snow. She was coughing repeatedly form her shortness of breath, extreme pain right in her gut, and the cold air around her. She started to come close to falling unconscious but regained her composure to at least one knee when Giygas started to charge again. “You…mon-ster…I will…not let…you get…away…with this.”

Meanwhile, Jeff had finally reached the weapon a few minutes before hand with the distraction Ness had created. “Let’s see here, I can’t exactly blast this thing with a fear that I might set it off. Okay, here’s something I can open, but I have to be careful with this thing”, thought Jeff while looking over the weapon for anyway to disarm it completely. “Alright, here are the main controls, but now to be careful here. They seem to have plasma running through those pipes right next to that panel. I can’t touch these or I’m fried”, after a few minutes Jeff seemed to have stopped the power flow at least and got to work on the weapon itself. Since he thought he deactivated the power supply that meant for him to swipe anything useful from the inside and blast the rest to ashes. *KABOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!* The power core Jeff forgot about inside went off with and intense shockwave blowing Jeff back about three-hundred feet in the process, but intact least since the shockwave lifted him upward and kept him out of harms way.

“The weapon!” yelled Giygas and Pokey simultaneously as they hear the loud explosion. The explosion seemed to not only started Pokey and Giygas but it also obliterated anything within about fifty meters taking out a sizeable chunk of their forces as well.

“Alright, Jeff did his job, but it will mean nothing if we can’t get out of here alive. I better see if we can get some sort of backup from Mike since his Mom said he could teleport. I better use a general form of my telepathy if I want to find him while I’m conscious. ” thought Ness. <Mike, where are you, I need you, I need to know if you can come help us. Mike answer me. Mike, are you okay? Mike, can you hear this, Mike…>

At Fayette City, Casie was still sitting near an unconscious Mike with Tom now walking and looking to see if anyone was seriously hurt. “Gees, Mike. You just had to go face Gorin on your own. To be honest, I’m surprised that you’re still breathing. You must have found a ton a power to unleash somewhere, because normally you couldn’t do that and I know how powerful you are. You had to of absorbed a ton of energy somewhere to able to make Gorin retreat. Hey Tom, is anyone seriously hurt?”

“No, not enough to be rushed to any hospital, but the medics and relief crews are taking care of anyone who needs medical treatment.”

“That’s good, I think we should just rest for a while and let Mike sleep. Maybe after this, we can get Ryan and Nolan to join up with us after we can get going again.”

“That seems to be a good idea. With Nolan’s firepower and Ryan’s special abilities, it wouldn’t be a bad idea if all five of us are back together again.”

“Yeah, we should probably <Mike, Mike, are you there? Mike, where are you? This is extremely urgent.>”

“What’s wrong Casie?”

“I just intercepted telepathic message just came in for Mike. It’s not from Nolan or Ryan, or anyone else I know.”

“But why to Mike though, the four of us know that Mike doesn’t have telepathy so why to him?”

<Mike, this is Ness please respond now! Paula and I are in deep trouble with Poo and Jeff being down right now. We are up against Pokey, Giygas, and many other cohorts of theirs. Mike, why won’t you answer me?>

<Ness, there are two reasons why he can’t answer you. The first is he’s unconscious at the moment after a fierce fight with Gorin. The second is because the child doesn’t have telepathy. By the way, my name’s Casie.>

<Casie, I have to save the introductions for later. Can you or anyone else you teleport?.>

<No, just Mike. Can you try to wake him though? We are in some need of some serious help here!>

<Sure.> “Mike, wake up man. Come on, this is not the time to be out cold here. You need to get up.”

Mike started to stir. “Casie, I heard your conversation with Ness okay. Your telepathy conversation was so loud I couldn’t stay asleep. Look, I have just enough power left for a light warp beta but that’s it. You’ll have to guide everyone there by Ness’s lead. I’ll just cast the spell then I’m going back to sleep since I’m not much help with my energy drained.”

<Ness we’ll be right there. Just give me a minute and where you are at. Mike’s teleportation technique allows us to go anywhere. So, just give me a picture of where you are and I can guide me, Tom, and Mike there. Just let me see through your eyes for a moment.> explained Casie telepathically.

“Alright Mike, do your stuff.”

“PSI Light warp Beta” said Mike which then he immediately fell back asleep.

Back in Siberia, Ness and Paula had a moment to regroup after the explosion since Giygas and Pokey had temporarily stopped their slaughter of Ness and Paula.

“Hey Ness, got any ideas?” questioned Paula.

“I just contacted Mike and his group telepathically. Mike cast a teleportation not too long ago and his friend Casie is leading them up here. That should be enough to at least buy us some time, even though from what she’s telling me right now they’re pretty battered” explained Ness while trying to dodge Pokey’s attacks.

“Good, at least it’s better than nothing. Once they get here, you try and revive Jeff and Poo really fast so we’ll have some sort of strength and some more numbers against these guys” exclaimed Paula while dealing with a few of Giygas’s cohorts.

“Forget it you idiots! Don’t you understand that we are the supreme power here both in strength and numbers here! Me and Giygas are the mightiest of all beings and no one can stop us!” screamed a laughing Pokey.

“That’s what you think, PSI Rockin’ Omega!” The attack Ness unleashed only did a little to the opponents surrounding him. Paula then fired off a few thunder gammas to try and get some psychic shields down but it just wasn’t enough against the numbers they were facing.

“Darn this just isn’t enough, where are they Ness?” Just then three of the legs on Pokey’s machine were quickly cut off.

“Right here Paula! Ness, if you or Paula have any type of recovery techniques, I highly suggest you use them now! There is no way I can do another attack like that again and Casie is as worn out as I am” screamed a heavily breathing Tom.

“Right! PSI Lifeup Omega!”, with that Ness was able to recover himself, Paula, Tom, Casie quite considerably, “Hey where’s Mike at!”

“He’s sleeping from pure exhaustion right now so don’t wake him. I’ll use my remaining powers here to stall with Tom and Paula here. You go revive anyone else who needs some reviving!” Casie explained to Ness. Ness immediately when to revive Jeff and Poo with healing gammas after Casie told him to go.

Once Ness got done, he explained the current situation with Paula, Casie, and Tom to Poo and Jeff. “So that’s why they’re here” said Ness.

Poo only made one remark before rushing into battle with Ness and Jeff, “The true battle has finally begun.”
