Here are the most common questions about EB Zero. Use this for a quick answer, instead of hunting for the answer in the walkthrough, or the enemy guide. There’s also some questions about the history of the game itself.
1. When I load EB Zero, it freezes, why? Help me!
-This is an EMULATOR problem. And it’s because you’re using NESticle. Try downloading it again. That happened to me. But after I redownloaded it, everything was fine.
2. I get this message. It says that ‘This Copy of Earth Bound will no longer function’. What’s happening?!
-If you get this message, then you have an unhacked ROM of EB Zero for some reason. To get the updated one go to http://demiforce.parodius.com/ (He made all this possible!)
3. Where are all the melodies?
-Here’s a quick list of all the melodies locations:
1. The Doll that you fought in your House. CHECK IT.
2. Canary Village (in Podunk)
3. The Singing Monkey (in the Podunk Zoo)
4. The piano in the Spookane haunted house
5. The singing cactus with a face in Yucca Desert
6. The Sleeping Dragon in Magicant
7. The robot EVE
8. The XX Tombstone on top of Mt. Itoi.
4. What does Podunk mean?
-Podunk means (it’s in the dictionary) "A small insignificant town, with little value". Cool huh?
5. Why wasn’t this game ever released?
- I’ve heard RUMORS that it’s coming out for Game Boy COLOR, but those are just rumors. I think it wasn’t released because it was a low graphic game, and the hype of the SNES and 16-bit would have made it unnoticeable.
6. Why do you hate SeC and the Sharks?
-That has nothing to do with EB Zero. NEXT!
7. Where can I get a copy of EB Zero?
-Wow. Why do you even have this guide then (heh heh). You can get it from ME (EBounding@aol.com) or you can get it at NEO DEMIFORCE http://demiforce.parodius.com/
8. Is this game illegal?
-Hmm. That’s a good question. It could be debated upon too. Well, it’s real iffy since it was never released. And because Nintendo isn’t really losing money off of us playing the game, in that sense, it’s not illegal. But I’m sure the prototype is copyrighted. But don’t worry about it. Nintendo isn’t going to come rapping at your door in the middle of the night, and torture you and your family for playing this game. They have more copyright issues to deal with. Such as the SNES and N64 emulators. So just play the game. =)
9. How do I get out of Magicant?
-You must talk to the man at the end of the cave (near the Dragon). Keep talking, and be kind to him. When he asks you to ignore him, say YES. Then he will disappear.
10. How much gameplay does this game have?
-I think it has at least 30 hours of game play. This is a great game to play BEFORE you play FF7. Because the random battles in FF7 will seem like nothing after you played EB Zero.
