Saga 1: The Onett Saga
Chapter 1: Just the beginning of a long time.

Introduction: This fan fic tells the WHOLE story of Earthbound, putting in alot of major new plot twists. 
Some characters will have VERY different personalities that that of the original EB story. This story is NOT 
like any dramatic recreations you seen before.

 The whole story starts with Ness, the hero if the story. He is outside playing baseball. He is playing baseball 
with a bat he had and a few large rocks.

  "Man. This is kind of boring."

   He picks up a rock and swings the bat at it. He hits it, but the bat gets a small crack down the middle. His 
sister is watching him through the window. 

   She comes down the stairs through the house and comes out to Ness.

   "Hi Tracy."

   "Hi big bro! You already broke the bat?"

   "Heh" Ness scratches his head. "Yea sorry."

   Tracy, Ness's sister, and Ness were close. They did everything together when they were younger. Now Ness 
is 13 and his sister is 9. That doesnt change anything. One of thier favorite places to hang out was the hilltop 
by another of Ness's buddies, Liar X. Agerate. Ness put the bat down.

   "Hey Tracy, wanna go sit up on the hilltop and look at the ocean?"

    Tracy nodded. "Sure, but let me put that bat back in my room."

    "Why?"
 
    Tracy looked around. "Um, nevermind, just let me put it in my room."

    Ness gave her the bat. Tracy ran back into the house. Tracy thought to herself, "Hm, maybe Ill surprize Ness 
and Ill fix the bat.". Tracy entered her room. She saw an old box laying around from her last birthday and 
put the bat in there for now. She went back outside. Ness and Tracy hung out until it was nighttime. 
However, Ness never knew that would be the last "normal" day he would ever have.

    Ness got ready for bed. He was in his pajamas and climbed into his bed. He fell asleep quickly. He had a very 
strange dream. He dreamed about titanium baseball bats, frying pans, teddy bears, a pair of glasses, a strange 
looking gun, and a long samurai sword. About 6 hours into his dream, he was awoken by a loud BANG.

    He got up groggy. "What the...."

   He climbed out of bed. He heard police sirens and  a bunch of people talking. He looked out of his window 
in his bedroom and he couldnt see anything. He decided to walk outside. When he got downstairs.he saw his 
mom awake with Tracy watching TV in the living room.

   Ness looked at his mother and at his sister. "Am I the only on who sleeps?"

   Ness's mom put down a sponge she was cleanin the kitchen sink with. "Ness, sleep is overrated. If your not 
tired, you shouldnt go to sleep."

   "Mom, last time you slept was about 3 days ago."

   Ness's mom shook her head. "Sleep is so overrated! I don't know why you sleep! Stay awake and save the 
world or something!"

   Ness looked at his mom strangely. "Save the world. Ya, right. Ill never save the world, im only a boy."

   "Anyway honey, why did you wake up? Was it the loud boom?"

   "Ya, im gonna go check it out. I think it came from where me and Tracy hang out sometimes."

   Ness's mom smiled. "Sure. But do you think you should change, you might dirty your jimmies."

   "Mom..jammies? "

   "Just go change."

   Ness went up to his bedroom. He put on his favorite shirt, shorts, socks, put on his shoes, and finally his 
baseball hat. He went back downstairs and told his mother that he will be back. When Ness stepped outside, 
he saw a bunch of flashing lights, coming from police cars in the distance. He could also see a faint glow 
coming from the hilltop where him and his sister hang out.

   "Man, whats going on?"

   He sees a man standing over by some trees. "Excuse me, whats going on?" he asks the man.

   "I want to return home, but the road is closed. People are taking this meteorite situation too seriously."

   Ness looked surprised. "Meteorite!?!?"

   The man nodded. "Ya, didn't you see it?"
 
   Ness shook his head. "No, I was sleeping, it woke me up."
   
   The man now shook his head. "Sleep? Sleep is so overrated!"

   Ness got mad. "WHY IS EVERYONE SAYING THAT???"

   Ness walks on and eventually gets over to where the meteorite landed. He sees one of his 
friends...well one of his "friends", Pokey there.
 
  Pokey comes running up to Ness! "HEY NESS LOOK LOOK LOOK LOOK!! A METEORITE 
LANDED!!!!"

   As soon as Pokey ran up to Ness, Ness out his fist and the impact of Pokey running into Ness's fist knocked 
Pokey out. A cop walks up to Ness.

  "Ness? THANK YOU I THOUGHT POKEY WAS NEVER GOING TO SHUT UP!"

   Ness nodded. "Ya, but you don't live next door to him."
  
    "Oh boy."

   Ness walked home and went back to sleep. All of a sudden, Ness was woken up  by this loud knocking. He 
traveled downstairs to see his mom and sister walking around.

   "Mom, Tracy, WHY CANT YOU ANSWER THE DOOR?!?!?!?! Lemme guess....its overrated."

   Tracy shook her head. "No because its Pokey."

   Ness, knowing it was Pokey at the door walked slowly over and answered it. Pokey ran in, knocking Ness 
over.

   "NESS! PICKY IS MISSING!!!"
