Paula's Sickness

"Paula's in the hospital?!"

	Those words cut throught his head like a knife through butter. Ever since he 
had heard that Paula had come down with something, he couldnt eat or sleep. Matters just 
got worse when he had heard she was hospitalized. No one knew how she had gotten it. No 
doctors, scientists, and not even Jeff could figure out this illness.
	Ness was on his way to the hospital. Jeff and Poo had already been there waiting 
for Ness to arrive. Since he could not concentrate, he could not teleport to Twoson. His 
bike's chain had popped, so he had to walk over there. The minutes walking there to Twoson 
seemed like the longest minutes he had ever had to endure.

"Paula, please, stay safe!"

	Paula had been in the hospital for a week. News got out to Ness, Jeff and Poo late.

	Ness hurried over to Twoson. A few Mobile Sprouts tried to attack Ness. He easily 
disposed of them and moved on. All he thought about was Paula. He did not care about anything 
else, not even whats going on in the world. Because of this, he runs right into a tree.

"Ouch, I gotta watch where I'm going.."

	By now, he has reached Twoson. He could see the hospital in the distance. Poo and Jeff 
were running out of there, and had stopped. They started running towards Ness.

	Jeff reached Ness first. He stopped and said, "Where were you? You were supposed to be 
here an hour ago!"

	Ness wiped a sweatdrop off of his head. "Sorry, some transportation problems." Ness stopped 
and had noticed that the hospital was only a few yards away. He made a mad dash towards it. Jeff and 
Poo followed.

	On the way in, he pushed the door open violently, knocking an old man over. Ness ran up to the 
desk. The nurse behind it was Julia. Ness knew her from the times Ness himself was in the hospital.

	Ness said, "Julia, where is Paula?"

	"Room 2A"

	"Thanks," Ness said.

	"But visitor hours are closed!" Ness blocked what Julia had said out of his mind. He made a run 
for Room 2A. He was there in no time.

	Ness stood in front of the door. He put his hand on the door slowly, as to push it open, but he 
just stoof there. He slowly pushed it open. He walked inside with his eyes closed and his head to the ground, 
afraid of what he will see. 

	When Ness stood in the room, a voice called to him. "Ness!?" It was Paula, laying on the hospital 
bed. Ness looked up and saw Palua, to his surprise, looked normal and fine, like she had no sickness.

	Ness ran up to the bed, "Paula! What happened?"

	Poo and Jeff had opened the door and walked inside. They both saw Ness and Paula, and turned around 
slowly and walked outside. They knew that Ness wanted time to himself with Paula.
	
	Paula sat up. Ness said to her, "No Paula, lay back down."

	Paula had an smile on her face. "Hah dont worry Ness, im fine! Im Paula! Nothing can take me down."

	At that moment, Paula got dizzy and layed down again. Paula looked at Ness, "Oh nevermind. Anyway, Ness, 
visiting hours are over! Why are you still here?"

	"Im worried about you Paula. Your all I ever think about since I heard the news."
	
	"Ness....I...."

	Paula started to blank out. She fell unconscius. Doctors rushed in immedieatlty. They ordered Ness to leave.
 He went into the hospital lobby. A doctor was there waiting for him. The doctor approached Ness.

	"Ness, I am Dr. Iowata. I am the doctor and scientist behind the reasearch department in Twoson Hospital. Julia told 
me that I should inform you about Paula's sickness."

	The uneasy Ness had agreed to listen.

	"Ok Ness, we still do not know what she has. I will however fill you in on her symptoms. Lately, she has suffered 
fever-like conditions. He has also had steep rises and falls in her heartbeat rate. She also seemed to have hot flashed, and starts 
to sweat even in cool conditions. She sometimes has nightmares and starts to scream. She sees things that aren't there. Sometimes 
she cant even move. Then, she could act as if she was completely normal."

	Ness got up. "What does this mean?"

	"We dont know. We have a good idea that it started in her mental body and then it took a toll on her physical health. Since 
she has phycic powers and the like, we think, but are not sure, that the sickness is tied to her abilities."

	Ness stood up quickly. He had an idea.

	"Ness where are you going?"

	"Doctor, I think I know someone who can help identify what Paula has. But first, I need to 
find Poo.
