I remember another time
A time I thought I'd forgotten

A time in my youth
When magic was still magical
When everything was still fantastic
When a day never failed
To bring out new adventures

A time in my youth
When my best friends and I
Traveled the world
In a strange journey
In our little dream

A time in my youth
When I thought I could go
As far as my mind's eye
Could see into the horizon

A time in my youth
I used to cherish
A time that meant so much

...Can't believe I forgot,
Don't know how
The memories fell into the years

Probably would have went on
For years and years more
Without remembering
But I happened across
A box, worn and dusty
Containing an old baseball cap
...The one that defined me

I placed it on my head
Suddenly my mind was filled
With all the still frames lost
Together, I put them in order
And once again they began to move
Memories of our little journey

A memory I forgotten
Of a dream beyond
Our little world

A memory remembered
By one lonely old man
