Eye to Eye Written by Heavily Armored Hamster Inside the machine I encounter A monstrous eyeball It's single lid sealed The room begins to tremble Reality seems to bend Slowly, ever so slowly The lid peels open Revealing a blood shot eye The eye twitches about at first Darting from one direction to the next Unaware of it's surroundings Unaware of anything really It sees, but it does not think The eye focuses in on me Suddenly I can see my reflection But it's not the robot body I see No, I find myself gazing At the reflection of my human face I get the impression this eye Can see right through me Can see my ever move Can read my every though Its gazes pierces my metal chambers This monstrous eyeball Sees but does not send Any visual data back to the brain For the brain ceased functioning Not so long ago Now it's just an eye Staring at me An eye backed by powers so evil Powers of unthinkable magnitude An eye staring to me I step up to the giant eyeball And I stare it down I'm not afraid of it I challenge it And we stare eye to eye
