And Blue is All

Blue is all I need
Blue is an escape to me
Blue is another reality

I paint the world blue
A blue world
Blue grass beneath blue skies

Sometimes I find
That I cannot paint it blue

I cannot paint the sun Blue
I cannot paint this cave blue
I cannot paint my innards blue

I cannot paint away death
I cannot paint away sorrow
I cannot paint away life

Blue is an escape to me
Blue is another reality

But I understand
That I cannot paint
Everything Blue

I take pleasure
In knowing there's a few
Things I can still paint Blue
