Perchance to Dream Written by omarshat When I sleep at night You plague my dreams You ask me for my help And tell me that it?s urgent You cry out in fear?or is it pain? You describe to me a tranquil scene, A meadow near a stream Yet in danger is what you seem to be I feel compelled to help you, The unknown lady of my dreams Each night I sleep, like clockwork You appeal to me, you beg, you plead Am I the guy you really need? Could there be some other one Someone who isn?t me The dream I had last night, By far the most intense, Your words, they came like gentle rain But yet again you asked of me To venture forth and save your life Your voice, so comforting, and so familiar So kind and sweet, like some girl I?m supposed to meet Could you be her, am I still me? Is there still time, who could you be? It all matters not right now Word going ?round this neighboring town Is that a special gal has been snatched Least that?s what I heard from some talking dog And this guy who looked like Mr. T Could she be you, I?m sure I?m still me? The night, she soon will fall I?ll take some comfort from my sleep Until tomorrow, I hope that you?ll be safe When I storm down whatever door keeps you caged?but until then? Would you speak to me again, on this cold and lonely night?
