A Premonition

I sat beside the Sea of Eden,
Watched the time go by...
I thought I heard the voice of Mother
Calling from on high...

My pulse it quickened, the world went spinning
...I saw through my mind's eye...
My spirit weakened, my knees went shaking
...with thoughts that I might die...

Mother...
Mother...Mother....
....why...?

The voice it echoed, through the seas and graveyards
...the world that is my mind...
The voice it shouted, the world was shrouded
With fears of the worst kind....

This darkness growing, omnipotent, all-knowing
...would this place be my demise?
This darkness sprouting, the voice, still shouting
They all absorb my cries...

Mother...
Mother....won't you save me...?
Mother...

I awaken quickly, my head still spinning
...a thunderous noise outside...
In my home safely, yet still I'm shaky
...what was that noise outside...?
