"Do-d-don't go..." Paula was muttering in her bed. Inside of a deep sleep she muttered all night. When her alarm went off she had woken up in a cold sweat.
(gasp)"Something strange is going on around here... I hate it when this happens!" Paula was bored from everything that had gone on and was plain tired of bad things happening. It was still early out so she didn't want to cause a disturbance by using the phone. "Telepathy will have to do for this task...darn." Paula closed her eyes and put 2 fingers from each hand on her forehead. "Ness...can you hear me Ness? "Holy shinkies!" Ness had a dream similar to Paula's and had woken up in a cold sweat. "Today of all days Paula has to tell me to go to Twoson! Man, why didn't I tell her my Dad was coming home today!" Ness tripped over his blanket and got a little rug burn. Ness muttered to himself, "not my day...this is not my day..." He got dressed and ran over to Twoson. He tripped on his shoelace and fell on his face. He stood up and had a bloody nose. He took some Kleenex from his yellow back pack and stumbled over to Polestar.
"Ness! You're here!" Paula smiled but it faded away. "And you look terrible! Come inside..."
Ness walked halfway inside and the door slammed in his face. "OW!!" Paula opened the door and led him to the couch. "I'm so sorry Ness! Here, let me go get you more Kleenex and I'll explain everything.
Paula came back with some tissues and Ness looked like he was going to scream. "Ness? If you aren't OK I'll take you home."
"No, please no! After what I went through getting here you're not taking me back!!"
"O-O-Ok Ness, well for the past few nights I've sensed strange powers on Earth. Since you one of the strongest (and closest) people I know I had to contact you. I'm sorry if I've cause you and trouble."
"It's fine Paula...where have you sensed the power?"
"EVERYWHERE I go I can feel it! It may be after our PSI! Have you felt anything? It feels like a ton of weight is pouring down over your shoulders but you're forced to stand up."
"No I haven't felt anything lately. Oh! I know!" Ness grabbed more Kleenex, "Remember at Jeff's lab? You took a small pill that wasn't tested yet, that’s probably it. Just a side affect Paula, don't worry!"
Paula looked at Ness uneasily no remembering taking any untested pill at Jeff's lab. "Ness? Are you sure I took an untested pill at Jeff's Lab?"
"Yeah I'm sure, I think you passed out for awhile and may not remember it."
"Well I can't be sure, take me to Jeff's lab. I have to ask him."
Ness sighed a deep sigh because he would probably get hurt outside. He soon teleported to Snow Wood Boarding School. "Jeff should be here..." Ness wanted to be cautious so he asked, "Paula can you guide me inside?" He felt very stupid asking that. "Sure Ness." They went inside and went to Jeff's Lab. "Hey Jeff!" Paula squealed.
"Oh hello Ness, Paula...What brings you to Snow Board?"
"Paula doesn't remember taking an untested pill in your lab and I think she's been having weird side affects. She said it feels like she has weight pouring down on her shoulders and is forced to stand up."
"Ahh, yes that is a side affect from the pill, she only feels the weight because she possesses PSI, I tried it on Tony and he's felt better than he ever did before."
"Jeff can you get rid of this affect? It's been making me worry and have bad thoughts, please help me!"
"You're lucky Paula, I can get rid of the affect but only Dr.An-hem-Dad has the machine I need. If Ness will come with me I can balance out the PSI inside of your body by using some of Ness's. "Ok Jeff! C'mon Ness lets go!" Ness stumbled outside and stood by the Tessie watchers waiting for a lift.
"I think we need a bubble monkey to wake Tessie up Ness." Paula ran back and used a special whistle, a bubble monkey came over with some gum and got Tessie up. Tessie took Paula, Ness and Jeff across the lake. They went off to Dr.Andounuts Lab. "Dad! It's me Jeff! Where are you?!" Dr.Andounuts was found working on some weird looking telephone. "Ahh, Jeff, what invention would you like to modify today?" Dr.Andounuts chuckled.
"Dad, can I borrow the balancer? Paula's had a strange affect from an untested pill and needs her PSI balanced out."
"Of course Jeff it's downstairs." Jeff went downstairs with Ness and Paula. He took the 'balancer' and strapped a funny looking rubber cord with tons of wiring going through it. "Ness, you'll need to put this on ok?"
"Yeah, ok." Ness fumbled around with the balancer but finally figured out to put it on.
"Please sit down you 2. You must stay completely calm and relaxed for this to work." Jeff flipped a switch and sparks started flying from the machine, still Ness and Paula stay calm and relaxed. Paula had sat in a chair with the balancer on her head and was getting uneasy. She tightened up and started to squirm. The balancer started going ballistic! Jeff was shot to the ground and a flash of light came from the balancer and it has exploded. Ness and Paula sat unconscious in their chairs. Ness was the 1st to wake up.
"Ugg....uh...W-what happened Jeff?" Jeff looked at Ness's body but it was still unconscious.
"Ness?! Ness?! Are you using telepathy? Have you come to your senses?!" Jeff was getting to be very startled.
"JEFF!!! Over hear! Turn around!" Jeff turned around and was shocked, Ness and Paula's minds' were switched!
"N-N-Ness, your...in Paula's body..." Jeff handed him a mirror.
"AHHHH!!!!!!!!!" A few minutes later Paula had woken up and had gone in shock from being in Ness's body.
"Jeff what are we going to do?! "
"Just explain everything to your parents. In the meantime I have to fix the balancer. It seems like somebody had gotten a little uneasy and un relaxed, Paula."
"I'm sorry Ness, can you teleport me home?"
"Ok Paula, geeze, I can't believe this happened." Ness and Paula waved good-bye to Jeff and Ness tried teleporting.
"Huh?? It doesn't work! Paula, I don't think we can use our regular PSI powers anymore!"
"Oh no! That means I have to teleport us everywhere doesn't it? Ok here it goes..." Paula and Ness spun around in a wide open area but Paula failed to teleport them both. "Oh dear, I can't do it..."
"Paula, you have to keep trying, just keep running in a circle and you'll teleport, oh yeah! Think about where you want to go too otherwise you'll end up in an endless black void and you can't teleport out of it.
"Oh man! This is too hard! I can't run that fast and picture Twoson at the same time!"
"I know you can Paula you have to try!
"Paula closed her eyes and pictured Twoson, she ran around in a circle and teleported Ness and herself to Twoson.
"You did it Paula!"
"Wow I did didn't I? Well I got to go Polestar, have a safe trip home!" Paula started walking towards Polestar and Ness stopped her. "Hey Ness, move it."
"We're in each others bodies remember??? I have to stay at Polestar and you go to my place. Tracy will be there and will tell you everything you need to know, for now we have to try to make our voices sound like each others ok?"
(sniff)"Well ok Ness, if you say so, bye!" Paula teleported to Onett. Ness went inside Polestar and ran to Paula's room.
"Paula honey! You have to help me take care of the children because some of them still aren't potty trained!" Ness shuddered at the thought of what he would have to do, he tried to fake Paula's voice and said, "I'm not feeling so great today Mom!"
"You just ran off with Ness and you don't feel well? Come on Paula I need help!"
"I got sick from taking an untested pill at Jeff's! I need to sleep!"

"Well here I am, Ness's house." Paula walked in and Ness's Mom stopped her.
"Oh Ness you look so tired! Go eat some pie and scoot up to bed!"
"Mrs.-I mean Mom I feel fine, I have to get something from Tracy though."
"No Ness, Mothers know, something is wrong with you, I mean your voice sound pretty high and this may sound crazy but, I feel like you aren't you." Paula scooted up the stairs practicing her Ness-voice-impression. She tried to contact Ness in telepathy and surprisingly it worked! "Ness? Ness, how are you doing with the kids? Sorry today is really busy at Polestar."
"Paula? Paula! I had to make up an excuse to get away from your mom and well...I'm just peachy here. Oh yeah, you got to talk to Tracy right away and my Dad is finally coming home later, you got to come pick me up so I can talk to him and tell him what happened. If I don't come over he might say some things about me that I don't want you to hear." Paula listened carefully to every word Ness said but by the second she got more curious on what Ness's Dad would say. She knew he couldn't get out of Polestar without her picking him up and she finally gave in.
"Ok I'll pick you up at Polestar but you have to tell me everything your Dad says to you through telepathy or I won't pick you up.

About an hour later Ness laid down on Paula's bed and started thinking hard about if he couldn't be in his own body again. "Well, I was inside of a robot, but that’s totally different from being inside of a girl! Dang it..." Ness got up and looked through Paula's closet frantically for some pants and a shirt. "Nothing?! No shirts, short, or pants?! Man, now I have to stay in a dress!" Ness kicked the wall and flopped down on the bed. Paula's Mom heard the noise and thought Ness had collapsed or something from him saying 'I don't feel that well'.
"Paula?! Sweetie?! Are you OK?" Paula's Mom ran to the room, opened the door and found Ness on the bed. "I think we should go to the hospital, or call Ness! You told me about his special healing powers. I think that’s just what you need Paula, go call him."
Ness coughed to get his girlish voice back, "But Mrs.-Mom! I'm Ok really, I called Pau-Ness through telepathy and sh-he should be coming over soon to pick me up."
"Paula, why are you acting so strange? That pill better not have wrecked your mind and think your someone else!" Ness thought about the pill and Paula's Mom had left the room. "Well, Paula's got to be doing better than I am, In the meantime I have to go buy some shorts or SOMETHING!" Ness snuck out the window and ran to Burglin Park, a lady started to yell, "New! Stylish clothes on sale!" Ness ran over and saw a mountain of dresses. "Well hello there Miss, can I help you?"
"YES! YES!!! Yes you can! I need some baggy shorts, or just plain ol' regular guy shorts, and a baggy shirt but nothing too girly ok?"
"Well you're an odd one! Your wearing a pretty pink dress, well if you want to be a tomboy try a thrift store, 'cause all I have are dresses, I'm sorry. There should be a store in Threed, here’s some bus fare ok? Have fun!" Ness thanked the lady and ran to the Bus Station.
"Just enough!" He took out the money and said, "A bus ticket to Threed please." The cashier looked at Ness funny because he had forgotten to change his voice. (cough cough)"A ticket to Theed sir, it's urgent!" The cashier handed him a ticket and Ness ran outside and waited for a bus. He got on and noticed all these guys staring at him.
"You're very pretty, come sit by me..." Ness thought to himself, These must be former sharks, what do I do?! (cough cough) "Um, thanks but I'm comfortable where I am." One of the 'former sharks' flipped Ness off because he wouldn't sit by him, but Ness got so mad he flipped the 'former shark' off and yelled "PK Fire!" fire came from his finger and Ness ran off the bus, everyone stared at him in awe. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
At Ness's house Paula had talked to Tracy for the past hour trying to learn how to act exactly like Ness.
"Well Paula, you got to well, walk around without putting your hands on your hips 1st of all, Ness doesn't do that. Over here he's fairly quiet, if you want to fool my Mom just nod your head at everything she asked you just to make her feel good, but since my Dad's comin' home today your going to have to use that thing where you talk to Ness in your mind so he can tell you what to say ok?"
"That sounds easy enough, heh, I have to pick up Ness anyway from Polestar! Do you want to some Tracy?"
"Sure! But my Mom might get a little suspicious 'cause Ness never takes me out. Well I'll do the talkin' just go ok?"
"Ok lets go, I'll teleport us there." Paula and Tracy got out of the house with no problem. Paula stood in an open space with Tracy right behind her and right in the middle of the teleportation process Ness's mom came outside and they crashed.
"Ow!!!"
"Ness what are you doing? Your Father is coming home today and you have to be here!"
"Mom! Me and Ness were just going to pick up Paula, she really wants to see the man that has been telling her how far to the next level!"
"Well if Ness's little girlfriend wants to come over I suppose she can, I'll go call your Father. Be back in no less than an hour Ness, oh and keep Tracy safe!" Once again Paula tried teleporting Tracy and herself to Twoson and it was a success.
"Ok Tracy lets get going to Polestar." They walked down the street and as Paula started opening the door Tracy stopped her.
"Paula! You can't just walk in! You're in my brother’s body and you can't just waltz right into places you don't live! Just knock!"
Paula coughed a little 1st to try to lower her voice so it would sound like Ness's, she knocked on the door and her Dad answered.
"Hello Ness and, who's this?"
"Oh this is Ne-" Tracy grabbed Paula, "Ow- I mean, this is Tracy my sister. Ne-Paula told me to come pick her up, can I talk to he-him?"
"Well she said she wasn't feeling that well earlier but I'll see what I can do, wait here please."
"Good job Paula, but you have to act more like Ness, you almost blew it."
"Yeah I know I'm sorry."
Paula's Dad raced down the stares and had a nervous tone in his voice, "P-Paula's g-gone! It looks like she snuck out of her window!"
"WHAT?!" Tracy exclaim, Paula thought to herself Oh I'll KILL HIM!!!!she spoke, "Don't worry Me and Tracy will find Paula.
"I'm very sorry Ness, this isn't like Paula at all." Paula walked off to the curb.
"Paula! What do we do? Ness told me when this happened to you, you were kidnapped."
"I don't know what to do, he obviously did this on purpose, but why??" Paula closed her eyes and put two fingers from each hand on her forehead.
"Paula, I don't think Ness can do telepathy, he can only talk to you if you talk to him first." Tracy was right, Paula was unable to contact Ness. "Well what do we do? I think we should go up to my room and see if he left a note, or a clue." Paula knocked on the door again and ran up to her room. Her closet was open and it looked like someone had been through all her clothes and thrown them around.
"It looks like he went to go get some new clothes, he was in a dress you know."
"Tracy, how do you know that?"
"It's what he does, when I was about 5 he let me put him in a dress just to humor me, after awhile he couldn't take it anymore and started going insane, kind of. He probably went to a place where they sell clothes.
"Well I do have only dresses and nightgowns, oh! There’s a new store in Burglin Park that sells clothes, lets check there 1st." Tracy and Paula went off to Burglin Park and found the store.
"Yes? What do you want boy?"
"I'm looking for a girl with shoulder length blonde hair, she had a red bow in it and she was wearing a pink dress, have you seen her?"
"Oh! That sweet innocent child? You're probably a stalker, I refuse to tell you where she went." Tracy pushed Paula aside to talk to the lady.
"Listen lady, I'm with him and that girl in the pink dress is his girlfriend and her name is Paula, it's very important we know where she is!
"Ok ok! I told her to go to a Thrift Shop in Threed, I gave her some money for bus fare and it didn't look like she had much money with her. Say, she was looking for guy clothing, if you want to impress her go get some money and buy her some clothes she was going ballistic!"
"Oh um, thank you!" Paula and Tracy teleported to Threed when Paula looked at her watch." "Oh no! Our hour is almost up and we haven't found Ness!" *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Ness ran around Theed getting sick of his girly look. He decided to try the 'Secret Arms' shop to see if the guy was selling some camo clothes. He ran around the back of the store and there the guy was, as if he was waiting for him.
"Shhh! I've got what you wa- hey your that girl with the guy in the red cap! How's it going?"
"Well it's a long story, by any chance do you have camo clothes with you that I can buy?"
"It's your lucky day girl, I have camo dresses!"
"I don't want a dress, I want guy clothes!" The guy frowned and took how a yellow and blue striped shirt with blue jean pants and a red baseball cap.
"Here, just take it, these were in the Hotel here in Threed, they must've been from your boyfriend, he may want them but here you go!" Ness took the clothes and ran to a bathroom to go change.
"Wow, I didn't even realize I left this stuff here!" Ness got out of the bathroom and threw Paula's dress away, he stuffed her ribbon in his pocket. As he ran down the street to the bus station to get back to Twoson he ran into Paula and Tracy.
"Paula Tracy! What are you doing here?" Paula grabbed Ness's shirt collar and glared into his eyes.
"You made us run all over the place looking for you! Hey where’s my ribbon? and my dress???"
"Here’s your ribbon Paula, and well, I threw the dress away, sorry I couldn't handle it anymore."
"Well this is all very touching but Dad's going to be home any minute we have to go! Paula teleport us to Onett. Paula teleported and everyone got to Ness's house safely. As the 3 walked inside there was Ness's dad on the couch with a newspaper held up to his face. Ness's Mom stared at him.
"Paula?! Are those my sons clothes?! What have you been doing?!"
"Sorry Mo-I mean, Sorry, I had gone to Threed because they told me that some clothes were left there and I wanted to change my style anyway so I took these."
"Well OK, you can keep them, Ness your Dad wants to talk to you in the kitchen, you don't mind waiting out here do you Paula?"
"Mom, it's OK if Paula comes, she needs to talk to Dad anyway." Ness and Paula followed Ness's Dad into the kitchen before anyone could say anything.
"Oh, Ness I need you to wait outside I have to talk to your Dad." Ness gave Paula a stare that sent her out in the living room."
"Ok Paula, but remember.....telepathy..." she nudged Ness and walked into the living room."
"Well Paula, what do you wish to talk about?" Ness decided to use his voice and calmly explained, "Dad..."
"Paula! Your voice sounds like my sons!"
"Dad it it’s me, Paula is out in the living room."
"I was wondering about the clothes." Ness took a half hour to explain everything, the pill, the balancer, being in a dress, and being at Paula's. He snuck out of the kitchen and told Paula to come in.
"So you two are each other?" Ness's Dad still had the newspaper up to his face. "You should really all Jeff and have him fix this, and if he can't go to Paula's parts and tell them about how you got in this mess. You two may be stuck like this forever so let everyone know, at least you still have your PSI powers."
"Well know we don't dad. I can't teleport anymore or use PSI Rockin, or heal."
"And I'm not able to do Fire, Ice, or anything! I got all of Ness's powers just like he got mine...Pretty weird eh?"
"Hmmm, this just makes me look at you Paula and I want to say, 'great, my son thinks like a girl', vise versa for you Ness."
"Come on Ness, I hate to have you leave but we have to get to Jeff's lab so we reverse this affect!" Paula dragged Ness outside and they teleported to Jeff's lab. "Hello? Jeff?" Paula went to the lab. "Jeff? Are you in there? We have to reverse the affect!"
"If your looking for Jeff he went to his Dr.Andounuts Lab, they were working on this strap with all these wires shooting through it! It was cool!" Ness went up to the student and glared at him and quietly said, "Where’s Tony?"
"Your not going to kill me are you?! Oh man! Tony? He's upstairs, I'll go show you." The student led Ness and Paula to a small room and Tony was reading biology book on his bed. "Tony! We need to talk to Jeff!"
"Ness, your voice is so, girlish."
"I'm Paula you dope! Jeff switched mine and Ness's minds!"
"Oh dear, he told me about this earlier, here take my cell, Dr.Andounuts should be number 5 on speed dial." Paula pressed the button and the phone rang.
"Hello, Andounuts Lab how may we assist you?"
"Jeff? Thank goodness! I'm still in Ness's body and everything is so messed up! I'm starting to not feel like myself anymore!"
"Oh no, it seems that you've been inside of Ness's body too long, you're turning into him and Ness will soon turn into you, but you will not be the same as before, hurry and come over to my Dad's Lab." Ness and Paula ran outside and rushed to Dr.Andounuts Lab.
"Ah, Ness and Paula, come I've heard all about your story and I may be able to reverse what Jeff has done."
"Wow! Really? Thank you so much Dr.Andounuts!" Paula ran over to the balancer.
"Paula, that’s not what we're going to use to separate you two, this is still in testing but this is what I call the 'Mind Machine'. This may take hours but your task is to get two people you trust with your lives so they can make you two normal again."
"Ness, can you think of anyone? I can only think of Jeff and Poo..."
"Me too, I guess we'll just use them, maybe we can come into spirits and fix anything."
"I'm sorry Ness." stated Dr.Andounuts, "Your souls and minds will be in a machine and they will be scrambled up, there’s no way you can come out to help in a spiritual form."
"Well OK, Ness I'll be back I have to go get Poo from Dalaam bye!" Paula ran out the door and teleported. She arrived in front of Poo's Palace and tried to go inside. There were guards in her way. "Hello, you must be Ness! The one who saved us all from the horrid Giygas!"
"Oh, no I am Paula, I'm Ness's girlfriend." Paula said in her sweet girly voice. She covered her moth right away and coughed to get her 'Ness imitation voice'. The guards stared at her. "I mean, yeah I'm Ness and I need to speak with Poo."
"You are a kidnapper! Oh well, Prince Poo is old enough to defend himself, please go in." Paula could feel the guards’ eyes staring at her so she ran to Poo.
"POO! POO!" Poo was turned around away from Paula.
"Ah Paula, where is Ness and how did you-WHA?!" He took one look at Paula in shock, “Ness never pull a prank like that again!"
"But Poo! It's me Paula, Ness is in my body and you need to come to sort things out, we're in a mess and we can't keep living like this."
"I am sorry Paula, how did you teleport here though? You do not have the PSI skill to do that."
"My soul and mind are in Ness's body but nothing else, I can use very PSI skill he can use and he can only use my skills, it's been bothering me this whole time."
"Well ok, lets go to, um where do we go?"
"We'll go to Winters at Dr.Andounuts lab, this task you have to perform may take awhile so please don't get tired." They ran out of the Palace and teleported to the lab.
Paula walked in, "We're back!! This won't take long will it?"
"It depends on how many memories and capabilities you have, the process is very simple too..." Dr.Andounuts showed the group a large computer monitor with Ness's silhouette and Paula's, it had a joystick coming from the monitor. "You too will sit down here..." he put Paula and Ness on the chairs with a metal helmet strapped to their heads, "Please forgive me if this hurts, you two will be shocked just enough so your souls and minds will go into the machine." Ness spoke up and started to sound and act like Paula, "What?! That’s too scary! I don't want to do this!" Everyone stared at Ness and he coughed a little, "I-I don't know where that came from."
"Ness! You just said exactly what I was thinking! We're becoming one person!"
"Well we better start the process before it is too late for these two." Dr.Andounuts flipped a switch and Ness in Paula were shocked, their minds and souls came on the monitor all mixed up.
"Ness?"
"Paula? Where are you? I feel torn apart."
"We're in the Mind Machine now, i feel mixed up too but we can't gather ourselves together."
"Are you scared that we won't turn out the same?"
"I trust Jeff and Poo, but they don't know our past, oh Ness I am scared! Try using telepathy to them."
"Well it's been awhile since I used it but here it goes." Ness tried telepathy but nothing happened. "Crap! We have our minds and souls alright but no PSI power, we just have wait Paula, I'm sorry." *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Dad, how does this machine work?"
"It's actually very simple Jeff, Poo pay attention as well, you take this joystick and move it over one of these dots..." Dr.Andounuts moved the cursor over a small pink dot, it said 'Love of baseball'. on it. "As you see this is Ness's dot, now take the cursor over to the Ness figure and drop it in OK?"
"Okay Dr.Andounuts, we shall be done shortly..."
"Uh Poo?" Jeff interrupted, "These dots are overlapping each other for at least 45-55 rows, they have a lot of memories and hobbies, and PSI!"
"Well Jeff, you have known them longer, can you start?"

"Whoa! I felt something drop on me."
"That must be one of the things Jeff put in your so-called 'Ness Silhouette' I hope they do something about me next, I mean all we can do is talk here and we see each other so much there’s really nothing to talk about..."
"Well lets see, um, yep your right nothings coming to me, I fell empty, all I know is that I love baseball right now, oh no!"
"What’s wrong Ness?"
"We only know or remember the things they put inside of our figure!" Paula felt a plop inside of her.
"Whoa, that felt weird, your right Ness, I only know about how I was surrounded by the Media when I was younger. Maybe if we think of what we love and hate we can help Jeff and Poo! It's worth a try!"
"I guess, but they have to decode our PSI powers too, but that’s beside the point." Paula and Ness started to think of things they loved and all the sudden the monitor started to spark. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Oh no! DAD!! DAD!!"
"Jeff what is it? The computer is sparking!" Poo spoke up from his silent position,
"I can see what they are doing in there, they are just simply trying to help put the dots in the right person, but their spirit power must be crashing the monitor."
"Oh no! What if it-" the monitor turned off. "Oh no! Dad! How can we help them?! Their stuck in the machine!" Poo spoke,
"Jeff, you must figure out to fix the monitor, I will try to keep Ness and Paula calm." Poo closed his eyes and tried telepathy, surprisingly he found Ness and Paula's souls. Ness, Paula, this is Poo, the monitor has turned off but Jeff is working on fixing it right now, do not be alarmed. Ness and Paula couldn’t talk back to Poo but were still very afraid. Ness, Paula, I know you probably can't talk back to me but when Jeff turns the monitor, please do not help him put you back in your bodies, you are the ones who has shut down the computer, please understand he is very worried. Poo had then lost connection with the two.

"Jeff, have you figured out how to fix this mind machine?" Poo shook Ness to see if he would wake up.
"I-I don't know what to do! We just can't let them stay in there..." his voice trailed off.
"I know, I'll go to my master, he will surely know how to fix this mess."
"Poo wait!" It was too late, Poo had already teleported to Dalaam. He ran in his Palace and ran to his master.
"Mater! Have you seen what has gone on?"
"Of course I have Poo but I'm afraid I do not know how to fix this, go to Mu "the place of emptiness" and you will fins something that shall you save your friends." Poo ran to Mu to meditate and a key fell from the sky, "Prince Poo, use this wisely..." the voice trailed off. Poo teleported back to Winters and Jeff took the key.

"Ness? DO you think we'll get out of here? I'm so scared the parts of me are shaking."
"Please Paula, don't be afraid, your fear will come and defeat us here and we'll be dead."
"I'm sorry..." Her voice trailed off, in a short distance Paula spotted a light. "Ness! A light we have to go towards it!" The light was the key Poo has brought back from Mu. "I did it!" yelled Jeff and Poo came over to see that all the dots were back. "Now we have to work on this, lets try to find their PSI powers 1st."
"That may be the easiest to do but they may be at the very bottom, lets do that we can for now." Jeff clicked at dot and it said 'Child Memories'.
"I don't know who this belongs to!"
"I will talk to Ness and Paula and ask them what goes where, click it to see what it is about." Jeff double clicked it and things about making a club house and getting a puppy appeared. Poo used telepathy to tell this all to Ness and Paula to see which one knew about this. Ness, Paula, there is a memory of making a club house and getting a puppy, who memory is this? There was no response since the two couldn't use telepathy.
"Ness, isn't that your memory? How do we tell Poo that that’s yours??"
"I'm not sure, but they will be sure to figure it out."
"I have no response from Paula or Ness, darn it! I forgot they could not use telepathy." Poo sat down in silence for failing."
"It's ok Poo, this has to be Ness's memory, he has a dog and made a club house when he was younger." A couple hours later only a few dots were left and the two boys were very tired of thinking.
"We have to take a rest Poo, this is getting a little boring."
"We can not stop Jeff! How do you think those two are felling stuck in a machine?"
"Alright, I'll be right back, I'm going to go get something to eat." Poo watched Jeff walk off into the kitchen and he was irritated.

"Ness, are we almost finished yet? I feel like I almost have a full body!" Paula crept over in a full ball of light and nudged Ness, "Ness? are you awake?" she kept nudging Ness but nothing happened. "Ness?! NESS! Don't joke around like this! Please wake up Ness please!!!" "Ah here we go!" exclaimed Poo, he dragged over a small dot over to Paula that said 'PSI Telepathy', "Now Paula can communicate with me but I have a strange felling Ness is not with Paula." Paula, I just gave you the PSI of telepathy, I feel something is wrong with Ness, is he okay? Paula concentrated as hard as she could and was able to use telepathy! Poo?! I'm so afraid, Ness isn't responding to me at all, please hurry and put us back in our bodies! Poo put the remaining dots in the body silhouettes and the monitor flashed COMPLETE the memories and all the info. went into Ness and Paula.
Jeff came back into the room and said, "Ah you finished, great job Poo!" Poo sat solemnly worried to see what would become of Ness. "Poo are you ok? The two should wake up soon if that’s what you’re worried about."
"I am worried that Ness is not here with us, please help me wake Paula." Jeff got a worried look on his face and shook Paula awake.
"Wha- huh? I'm back! In my own body! YES!!" Paula looked over at Ness. "Did Ness wake up yet Jeff? I'm very worried about him..."
"Sorry Paula, he hasn't waken up yet, you try waking him up." Paula jumped off the chair and ran over to Ness.
"Ness wake up!" she shook him furiously, "Ness! Please wake up, don't do this to me!" Paula started to cry a little, there was no response from Ness, she but her hand on his heart but there was no beat coming from it, she started to sob. "Ness is-" her voice trailed off, "Ness....is-" The two looked at Paula anxiously to hear what she was going to say, she put her head down and pointed to his heart.
"What’s wrong with Ness Paula?!" Jeff exclaimed, he ran over to Ness and felt his head. "He's losing heat, Paula, is he?" Poo spoke up and sighed,
"Please just say the words Ness, is, gone... He has left this world, Jeff what could have gone wrong?"
"NO! Ness is NOT gone! He will come back to us! Nothing bad can happen to him!" Paula started to cry uncontrollably and fell to the ground. "Jeff, please, help Ness..."
"I will try Paula" Jeff ran to the basement and grabbed some rescuing equipment. He took some things and shocked Ness to see if he would regain life. He hooked Ness up to a monitor but there was just a long buzz coming from it. "Paula, you must use your strongest lightning attack on Ness."
"But he has the Franklin badge on him, and I might shock you and Poo." Paula sniffed and ran up to Ness. She took the tiny little pin off of his shirt and ran to the middle of the room. "Get everyone out of here!" Jeff and Poo got out of the building and got Dr.Andounuts out as well. "Well here goes nothing" Paula concentrated and yelled, "PSI THUNDER OMEGA!" A blast of lighting burst into the Lab and Ness was directly hit. A small beeping came from the machine.
"PAULA! HIT HIM AGAIN! HE NEEDS MORE!" Paula couldn’t bear to see Ness shocked or hurt.
"I'm sorry Ness...PSI THUNDER OMEGA!" she yelled again and a bolt of lightning stroke Ness and the beeping became faster. "JEFF GET IN HERE! HURRY!" Jeff ran into the building to see the machine beeping very fast.
"This is my entire fault, you shouldn't have shocked him again, now he may be so shocked he might die." Paula stared at him with her mouth hanging open.
"Jeff, this is no time to give the might’s and may’s..." she walked over to Ness and put he hand on his forehead, "Ness will not die today...if he is in trouble I will save him, I will just have to give him some of my life." A small white light shone over Paula and Ness and the room was completely black. Waves from Paula started to go into Ness, the light and waves coming from Paula were so powerful they broke all the machines in the room. She looked at Ness and smiled, "I hope this helps you Ness..." her voice trailed off and light vanished, Paula then fell to the floor. Poo ran into the lab and saw Paula on the floor and Ness was now unconscious in the chair.
"Why would Paula do something so foolish?" asked Poo.
"I guess she just didn't want to see him die, I noticed that she gave him something else besides some of her own life, I can't figure out what she gave though, it put him into unconsciousness though, all that matters now is that he's alive."
"What about Paula?" Poo walked over to her and she was in a critical condition but still alive. "She's still here Jeff, I'll teleport her to a hospital, come with me, take Ness." Jeff picked Ness up and Poo picked Paula up, Poo ran outside but couldn't carry Paula and teleport at the same time. "Ugg! What shall I do? Jeff do you have an invention that could help us?"
"I do!" Jeff pulled out two small balls and transported Paula and Ness into them. "They should be ok for now but these are only temporary, hurry and teleport us before the balls open Poo!" Poo concentrated and teleported the four to Twoson Hospital. Jeff opened the balls and Ness and Paula appeared.
"Hello, your the boys that followed that girl Paula all over the place aren't you?" the nurse smiled.
"Well not exactly, we followed Ness and well, these two need help, especially Paula." The nurse took a look at Paula and called a few doctors that took her away.
"She'll be fine, as for Ness please take him and follow me..." She took Jeff, Ness, and Poo to a small room and the nurse did some tests on how bad Ness's condition was.
"He will be fine, please just wait in the waiting room, if they aren't out in an hour please stay at the hotel because they will most likely be here for the night." The two walked out of the room and waited for Ness and Paula to walk in fine. Well, Ness walked in the waiting room.
"Hey guys, what happened? I have this headache and- where’s Paula?" Jeff and Poo told him everything about how he was dead and Paula shocked him and gave some of her life and something else to keep his heart ok.
"Paula...she's in a critical condition? Well, she did revive me, and gave me something you two had messed up on when we were in that 'mind machine'" Ness gestured with his hands.
"Well I was in the kitchen so Poo must've messed it up.." Poo stood up and said,
"There was one thing I wasn't sure of, it was a little dot that had said 'No ke mi shasochisu' I had no idea what it meant but it sounded like something Paula would have, so I gave it to her. Ness took Poo into a corner and whispered in his ear what it was and his eyes looked like they would pop out of his head. "Oh my gosh, I must give you my sincerest apologies to you and Paula for messing you up, but why wasn't she affected?"
"I don't know," stated Ness, "Maybe she's just vulnerable to it, she had so much that happened to her in the past, maybe it made her will, soul, and mind stronger."
"Excuse me you three boys, the hospital is closing so you will have to leave now." The three walked out of the building and went to the hotel. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
In the middle of the night Ness had a dream where a figure shown through a bright light.
"Ness..."
"Yeah, that’s me, who are you?"
"I am scared."
"OK...who are you?"
"I may never see you again Ness...doesn't that hurt you?
"I don't know...are you-Paula?"
"I am very scared Ness...Come to the hospital tomorrow and go to Paula's room."
"But I don't know who you are so how can I trust you?"
"You can't, but if you don't Paula may be in danger. I am afraid..." The voice trailed off and Ness woke up. He whispered to himself, "Paula said something wasn't right... Did she mean that this would happen?" Ness sat up in his bed and thought till the sun rose. "I'm going to the hospital." "Where’s Paula's room?"
"Oh you must be the boy she always followed, please follow me." Ness followed the Ness to Paula's room where he saw Paula in a bed with all these tubes coming from her, she was having trouble breathing. "I'll let you stay with the girl for awhile, an hour tops ok?" The nurse smiled, walked out of the room, and shut the door.
"Paula? Is this my fault?" There was silence in the room. "PSI Healing Omega..." Ness said putting his hands over Paula.
"Nggg...Nggg...." Paula said faintly. Ness shook her a little bit and she opened her eyes half way. "N-Ness? What are you doing here? Where am I?"
"We're at Twoson hospital Paula and it seems that you saved my life, I owe you big time for that."
"It's ok Ness, can you take me out of here? I want to go home..." Ness started taking the tubes and such of Paula and helped her get up. "W-Where’s my ribbon?"
"Don't worry about that Paula, let’s just get you home." Ness got Paula out of the room and tried to get out of the door.
"Excuse me young man, you are taking a patient away and she hasn't fully recovered yet."
"Of course she has!"
"Well, unless she can stand up by herself she can't leave ok?" Ness frowned and let Paula go. Paula thought to herself, I must stand up, I want to go home! She stood up by herself and was a little wobbly. Before she fell to the floor Ness caught her.
"I-I can stand up, please let me go home." The nursed sighed and let them leave.
"T-Thank you Ness...Where i-is everyone?"
"I left them at the hotel...We'll see them later ok?"

About an hour later everyone met outside the door of Polestar, as Ness turned the knob to get in Paula's dad burst out and said, "PAULA! Your back! Where were you? We were so worried!" Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Poo explained everything in great detail. "I see, Ness please take Paula to her room, she looks very tired." Ness took Paula to her room.
"Thank you for everything, I'm not just saying that...." her voice trailed off... "Ness?"
"Yeah?"
"No ke mi shasochisu..." she winked and smiled at him and he smiled back. He walked out of Paula's room and shut the door.
The three that were left went outside. "I must go back to Dalaam, it was nice to see you guys again.." Poo teleported off.
"Ness? I have no way of getting back to winters, can you give me a lift?"
"Sure Jeff come on." Ness teleported Jeff back and went home up to his room. He sighed and went to sleep, just before he went out he whispered to himself, "No ke mi shasochisu...No...ke.... mi shasochisu..."
